thank you! i totally saw that page in your signature before had that page bookmarked, but my antsy-ness is making me forget things lol

One thing I noticed on the page in your signature was it says to pay the visa fee and then submit ds-160. I thought we submit ds-160 and then pay visa fee? or does it really even matter?

also, what happens if you submit the DS-160 before NVC gives the case number?

also @PadieNerkBrapone, you didn't get your NVC case number yet? You got your NOA2 before mine and I was hoping NVC would give the case number in 3-5 days

It does not matter when it is filled out or when to pay the fee. But you'll need both done before the Interview of course. You only need that fee receipt and ds-160 confirmation page barcode prior to setting up the Interview date. And you'll need to have that printed confirmation page of the ds-160 with you for the Interview. Now with the ds-160 it does matter "who" signs it, or rather "where" it is signed. I have researched and found that if the ds-160 is signed under a GPS location not in the country of the Beneficiary (in other words, not by the Beneficiary), it could be considered fraud. I am not 100% about that but I know I am not taking any chances. I filled out the ds-160, but I will send my fiancee the saved file to look over and she will sign it from Cambodia.

Not a chance of 3-5 days. Not anymore unless by divine intervention.

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, that is superior to every frame of mind, shall be garrisoning your hearts and your apprehensions in Christ Jesus."

I figured out how to make a login to view appointment availabilities in Seoul... but the next available one is January 18th... so by the time we get a case number the next available appointment probably won't be until February. Really disappointed right now.. When we first filed we really thought we would be finished with the distance by this time. Our 2 year anniversary was on November 25th, and we really wanted to end the distance by then.

I know a few months more isn't long in comparison to a lifetime together, but it doesn't make the separation any easier. I just moved cross country and started a new job, and keep wishing my babe was with me. I'm so glad I have this group. I haven't posted much until the past few days, but have been following and reading this thread since we filed in May. Praying for all of the May filers to stay strong through the holidays.

I'm so sorry and i hope you can meet your fiance asap. And 18th january? Uscis just got the rfe response i sent. Also, my wedding is 27th january.........so i have to have interview at seoul before 14th january. is there a thing like applying for emergency interview appointment? Omg i have to find about it right now

And so 190 days have passed.... NOA2, where are you??????

While I wait I, bought airplane ticket to go see my girl in a couple of weeks. It's much easier waiting for something that has a definite date attached to it..

Ours, 22th NoA1 would be at the bottom of the bulk of the new papers one after another!!!

Hi everybody...trying to get back to life after the NOA2 shock in the most unexpected moment!

now my question is...who has the time/patience to tell me what should I do now?

I know every person has been asking for this, but the feeling I got so far is that I’ll have to wait about one month just for the NVC to get my case in hands, is that correct?

and all I can do is keeping calling them? 🤔

@Shoegum @Naes @Meech @K+D I know I can count on you guys...at least I know you probably already have a link ready to explain everything! 🤩

The NVC links are in Shoegum's signature (I cant remember but probably my signature has it too), but unfortunately apart then that people usually wait 2 weeks to start calling them; and some people are still waiting after a month..

Wait 2 weeks and start calling. but don't start worrying if it's not here yet.

it was in my sign.

I started calling them 2 weeks after my approval (yes that’s early right?) and as expected they always says after 6 weeks. I guess that’s the general answer for those who haven’t met the 6 weeks waiting time.. let’s just wait patiently and pray that it will come very soon..

gosh if I'd make this phone call after 2 weeks and they say it takes 6 weeks, I'd probably curse them out and mention the 5-6 months wait was more than enough  glad you guys have a better temper than me lol

and thanks @Naes for the scan 11/28!!!! 231 sounds perfeeeect! let's hope it continues today!
