Can beneficiary call NVC to try to obtain case number?

Yes they can. I call every day. They only ask for your WAC number and if the case number is not there they just say it's not there. If it though, they will ask for your name, your date of birth, your fiance's name and his/her birth date.

Hello. Fortunately for me, the headquarters is located near my workplace so I stepped in there in-person and finished it off, I got the background check about 2 weeks later. However, you can do it online as well. Here is the link :) https://www.torontopolice.on.ca/background-checks/criminal-record-check-process.php#

That seems to be only for residents of Canada. I’m not a resident there. I wonder if you can do this at the Canadian Embassy. I don’t see why not.

Oh I'm sorry. Hmm yes definitely try calling the embassy/consulate where you are now and see if they can do it. They should be able to.

Hello guys! I'm following this topic for a while now but have some weird problems with accessing my account. Might be my first and last message here:)

Anyway I want to thank everybody who is doing hard work of scanning and analyzing and just supporting all of us in such hard times!

And I wish everybody who is still waiting to get their noa2 as fast as possible!

We got rfe asking for proof of meeting. Does anybody know how long it takes now in USCIS to be approved after receiving our response?

I just lived here too long and don't enjoy my life here much anymore. I was about to move to somewhere else when we got engaged. So I'm home if I'm not at work binge watching anything and everything while scanning and trying to analyze with what I have, support anyone that I can if they're up late at night because of stress. And when other heroes wake up, I go to sleep 😊

Thank you for your help... 😊

@alaris @pmeyer1229 @Stela&Eli

that is interesting that they say they will receive AnD process within 6 weeks. i was under the impression that was only for receiving.

Unfortunately after getting the NVC number NVC will tell you that there is no time frame for sending files to embassies or consulates....

We heard that several times -_-

Congratsss! Wow your process went by fast lol. How long did it take you from getting your NOA2 to getting your case number then booking your interview? :) so happy for you

We got the NOA2 and I called the NVC 10 days later for the case number, filled out the DS-160 and scheduled the appt immediately! All within a few days of NOA2. The process is simple in Bogotá bc you get to schedule your own interview!
