Look at the RFE Master List in my signature. It can give you a good idea on how long an NOA2 takes after a RFE. Don't forget to fill it out also so that it can help those following us.

Ok thanks my friend!

  • Did you include those items in the original submission?

No, the only items in the list that were included with my original submission was the photographs and airline confirmations.  I submit other items, but it looks like they didn't qualify.

I went through and filled it out.  Do you have any suggestions for other items not in my list that we can include to prove meeting?

My fiance is coming here with me🤗😉😊 last week of this month. Hoping she will receive a letter from nvc before she come.

The NVC does not always send a letter. If you want the NVC number the best way is to call.
They also answer the e-mail inquiry, but there is a 2-5 day delay in getting a reply.

do i need to wait for NVC # before i file ds160? what is the earliest point we can make appointments?

You can start filling out the DS-160 now. The DS-160 only asked for your USCIS number.  Personally I waited until receiving NVC number before I submitted it, but I don't know if it is necessary to wait. Anyways, if you write down your DS-160 number and save the application, you will be able to access your application again later. I personally found this convenient as it allows you to double check the information better.
I believe that in the Philippines you can pay the interview fee and book the appointment once you have the NVC number. But you should double check that with somebody from the Philippines.

Congrats !! Were you in AP at all?

we have same timelines, Noa2 oct 10th , NVC arrived Oct 19th, have been told we are in AP , It's  4 weeks now .I have read I could be stuck here for months?

Do you know of anyone else this is happening to ? I'm very worried ! Terri/Ed     0

Terri/Ed

Hi Guys, we received our Noa1 May 5th, Noa2 Oct 6th, NVC received Oct 19th, we were lucky to get our number straight away but now when I call they tell us it's it's AP and can't give me a time frame .

Its been nearly 4 weeks now and I've read we can be stuck here for weeks/months?

is anyone else having this problem? It's so upsetting !

It never changed to AP status at all i called them wednesday and they told me it was in AP mode but did not say anything else.

Yup we sent an e-mail and got a response of them. Unfortunately our case aren't received yet. Maybe this coming week we'll try to call them. Hoping for good. In filing ds 160 case # from nvc is needed right?

Since Oct 19th it's always showed At NVC and is still showing that ..

its only when I called to find out when it was going to get transferred to my embassy that they told me it's under AP.  it's very worrying, as they say it can be there for as long they want to have there !

You are very lucky to be in transit 😀

Oh tell me about it! My Mr Fiance is military and has additional days off too (long weekends), so it's even more confusing! On the plus side, the US has way more state and/or federal holidays than the Netherlands, so I'm cool with that :)

Japan has soooooo many holidays, 1 every month  and 3 continuous of at least 4 days each and a long new year holiday again almost 20 total...

I don't know how I feel about US

Hey guys

i started filing ds160 and I'm confused

it says if I had resided in any country other than Germany since I was 16. I was on a student exchange for 10 months but my visa for that says "visitor"

well in my definition I was not ever a resident there cause I never paid rent, had a job or anything

what do you think ?
