Soooooo finally an 11th May filer has been approved😁😁😁 it’s so bittersweet for myself and my fiancé! Only recently I have been diagnosed with breast cancer🙈 so unfortunately I cannot go and be with my love. He has been over with me as I got the bad news, but he had to go back to Arizona because I’m currently out of work. So he still needs to work to support the both of us for now and in the future. My treatment starts within the next 2 weeks and will go on until sept 2018. At present he is trying to find out ways (if any?) that our approval can be put on hold, because I’ve read that the visa is only valid for 6 months which does not give us enough time for me to be treated. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations please let us know.

He has called the USCIS and basically the girl he was talking to had poor English and didn’t understand what he was really talking about, so he asked to speak to her supervisor and got cut off. So he’s calling them back again to try harder and not take no for an answer!

I understand it’s a complicated situation, so if anyone can give us any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated🙂

thanks guys

I just realized, it was impossible for me to show up on @Shoegum's scan because he didn't do one on November 11th.  I'm sure it's because it was a Saturday and a Holiday, but someone at USCIS was working overtime because that's the date on my approval.

Can he look for a job there and emmigrate to where you are instead? Then you'll have all kinds of time for treatment.

Would you pass the medical exam now?

:dance:Received my approval letter today. I can't wait to show my Beneficiary when she wakes up. 198 days with RFE. Hallelujah!

One big obstacle hurdled, now preparation for the ONE that trumps 'em all, the INTERVIEW. And we already have two strikes against us...

One, it's a southeast asian country (Cambodia) with high visa fraud. Two, Cambodia outlawed foreigners over 50 marrying Khmer women which is the reason I chose the I-129F. They created that law for purely "aesthetic" reasons because and old looking man don't look good with a young girl. Fortunately, my Beneficiary is not 18yo, or even 28yo but in her 30's. And I sure as hell don't look old despite my age. I pray God's continuing intervention on our behalf.

CONGRATULATIONS you "50 outlaw" ! Awesome news brother, it was a joy hanging here laughing with you! I wish you all the best !  :jest:

But yesterday you told me about that letter, and that you received an RFE:huh:? Is this your "outlay" number playing tricks on you? :lol::lol:

@Geo_nerd82 he could of course move over here to Ireland and we could get married but unfortunately for him to work it would roughly take up to a year to process his credentials to be able to work over here. Although it’s not as tough to get visas over here compared to the states, it’s still a process. He will just have to come here more regularly, and I just have to rely on my family and friends for support. It’s tough but we will get thru it, but I just don’t want all the work that’s gone into our K1 visa to go down the drain and to have to do it all over again.

Im not sure if I’d pass the medical because I don’t know the full details of what they would ask and then also what they would b able to check out on medical systems/networks in my area.
