FYI for those fiance(e) from the Philippines: You can schedule your CFO appointment in Manila with or without visa yet. I just scheduled mine this Sept. 25 and they gave me a confirmation letter via email even if I did input that I don't have K1 visa yet in my passport. they will give you a list of requirements to be secured.

So how did you go about setting this up? Is there a very long wait to make a date? Thanks in advance

So the Ds 160 form do we need to wait for NOA2 or can it be done sooner?

You can start it, but unless you have the NVC number, you cannot submit it.  It has been reported that saving and returning to it - sometimes it loses data and has to be re-typed in.

To me, it just seems like a waste of time to do it early, because what are you going to save? 5 minutes?

I'm curious about @Rob.Ish answer to your question concerning CFO seminar...... I was planning to do CFO post interview but if it is weeks away in scheduling, maybe it needs to be done earlier????  Basically 9/25 is a month away and that was soonest?  I'll probably interview 10/12ish.  Maybe better to do CFO early and just get the stamp at NAIA CFO desk.....

I guess no reason to do the form any sooner then for the ds 160. 5 mins is nothing after waiting all this time.  That is what i like to know about the cfo. It be nice to have a timeline. I was waiting pist interview myself. I am going to call the cfo office in cebu tonight and see if someone there can tell me how it works. Ibkeep you updated

I just went to their website, checked for GCP. There's few questions to answers in their site and you also have to input your email and they will send you the instructions via email. From September, there are still more slots available, so really, you don't have to wait longer. Unless, you personally choose the later dates.

We just did our CFO in cebu. We're still awaiting NOA2. You can schedule it online and absolutely do it in advance. Cebu has availability pretty much daily, or within a day or two. Manila lead time is 3+ weeks. Highly suggest doing it ASAP and/or paying the 4000 peso or so for a flight to cebu if you don't want to wait.

Halfway there!!!!             Just kidding you.   Tomorrow is Day 97 for you.  In 4 days, you're in the 100 day club!  You have the greatest majority of the wait behind you..... Hang in there, when that approval gets there, it is soooooooo worth the wait - trust me :D

I got an update from the USCIS app they are already in April!!!!!goodluck to us May Filers!

I read that some places allow the fiance and the petitioner to be there for the interview. Does anyone know if this is true? I live with my woman here in the Philippines and I would like to be present for the interview If I can!
