Can I confirm, did you send a request about something specific and then they told you you had an RFE issued?

 

So many folks not receiving notices via the regular post (myself included) I fear with the issues updating case online and your letter (thank you) which states respond within a certain timeline or you’ll be denied...

It's already there, see what to do after NOA2 link in my sig. everyone should add it to spread it lol.

Ah yes this is your week, you may have already been approved yesterday as its not updated online. May be worth calling into tier 1 and checking status, unless tier 1 only has access to information what is publicly available through online status :/

182 days and counting. I talked with a Tier 2 rep today and they told me my case was assigned and I should hear something no later than Nov 23rd.

Proving that we met it hasn't been a problem.

His divorce decree did. Because the court house said a Summary of divorce it's all he can get, and it was signed. And they said they wouldn't even write a statement to say that's all he can get from his file because there is nothing else!

The funny thing is that's his first divorce, the second one was accepted.

So how can he have a second divorce if he didn't have the right to remarry the first time?

 

So we finally made it to talk to a tier2 (which ironically was a foreign!!!!!!!!!)

She told us to document all the communications we have had with the court house, print out emails, write a statement explaining all the effort we took to give them what they asked for and even include the tier2 name to show that even USCIS told us it was okay and there is nothing else we can do.

So we are shipping it today and we are hoping that it will be okay, that it's not going to be one of those occasion where you have to hope to get the right person that understands, but that anybody would accept it.

And hope for an approval very very soon!

I'm glad you have finally heard something! I also had an RFE. Currently, my fiance is awaiting his interview for December 5th through the US Embassy in Kenya and has already gone through the medical. Since you are from Uganda you will also go through the Nairobi consulate and IOM in Nairobi. Let me know if you questions regarding the RFE or anything regarding the following steps related to the embassy!
