From what I gather from VJ and our lawyer, we can submit the DS-160 and schedule their physicals, South Africa mind you.  But then we wait for it to get to her embassy for the interview.  We have everything ready thanks to our lawyer, let me know and I can give you a heads up on what that is.

Just received NOA2 in the mail today!! It was approved on 3 Nov and I only got it today. USCIS case tracker still shows received... Check that mail box daily!!

I believe they decided age of technology is not working for them and ignored that paper we all send about "please let us know by mail" means nothing?

I wouldn’t be surprised when everything is done with visa issued and the case tracker still showing received lol.

Hey all May filers!  May 2 filer here, we got our NOA2 approved on 14 Oct, mailed on 17 Oct and received in the mail 20 Oct.  I got, even to this day, no notices on the apps or via email.  I called USCIS 3 times over 2 weeks, Tier 1 finally told me we were approved on 14 Oct, best news we were impatiently waiting for.  Waited 12 days before bugging NVC for our new case number; I called every other day at 630pm Eastern time and finally today (6th call), they received our package and she gave me all our numbers (case number, invoice ID and beneficiary ID's).  Yay!!!  Said they will send our package to  my fiancé embassy, give it a week at least she said.

Any advice on what we can do now, complete the DS-160?  Make medical/physical appointments? Thank you and keep the faith to all, just keep bugging them.

I called last night and after waiting 30 minutes with that annoying music, finally a woman took the phone and kept saying I CAN'T HEAR YOU. Nice. Maybe it is because I'm calling through a tablet with hangouts idk xD I'll try to call again today with better headphones.

Do you know if the spanish line is quicker?

I'm not sure what we can do if they think that divorce decree it's too short and that's all the court house can give us!

We are thinking about asking a court house to give us a declaration that says that's all we can get!

Good thing you two are together (we don't see each other since july!) but I have to say pay attention, it's very possible they won't let the Applicant in the country!

We spoke to a lawyer last night and they told us it was ridiculous what they have asked for, told us what to write and said it should go through no problem. $275 well spent! I highly recommend paying it if you're not sure how to handle yours! Best of luck

Guys.... am I the only one thinking if the system was down.... perhaps little to no work was completed as everything with USCIS is electronic...

A server being diyen does not necessarily mean all servers were down. This one is just a webserver, which is a public server. But they are most likely using an internal system for the rest. Because they are handling sensitive data.

as even free apps can use this server, basically this server only has a small amount of information and the main problem is about their connection. Think it like there is internet in your house and you can connect to other computers in your house. But you cannot connect to the internet. Sometimes doesn't it also give error like "local only, no internet connection" similar to that (obviously a bigger system and more complicated but similar to the idea) 

 

however yes, there is not (I finished half of May and there's nothing) and most likely won't be any updates for the date through their tracker 😊
