My fiance opened in a call. But I don't think there is any difference. I really don't know, but I assume both methods should work the same way. My fiance did it in a call only because he wanted to call anyway (hoping to hear good news).

My fiance said that calling them is kinda stressful... you talk to a computer for a while and when you get to talk to someone, it's always the same script. This was the first time he mentioned opening the Inquiry and the officer gently did it for us. He also got an Inquiry number to follow up with if necessary.

If you can go ahead and open the Inquiry online, why not? But if there is some sort of thereshold in the system that won't allow you to do so unless you passed 6 mo, then maybe you should consider calling. We were very close to the 6mo mark (176 days when the Inquiry was opened).

I hope the information can help. Good luck! :)

I am definitely over the "overall" 6mos mark. However, I think they mean 6mos after the LAST Notice. Anyway, this is what you get with the online case inquiry: "Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage."

I wonder why they did not reject you when you told them your receipt date over the phone?

Anyway, looks like a call is in order.

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, that is superior to every frame of mind, shall be garrisoning your hearts and your apprehensions in Christ Jesus."

Congratulations Marion. Did you send your I-134 and police certificate(s) in prior to the interview?

No I brought them to the interview but I only was asked for the police certificate that’s it. Idk what is your embassy but this is different in some so you should read what they tell you on the website!

Ask as many questions as possible - wow they love risk and challenges 😝

I participated in their online survey concerning their website on Friday or Saturday. I was emotional and honest and couldn't but mention they supply false data (like processing September 1 cases) 😁 so I'd rather stay away from their twitter 🤐
