Google voice is really cheap at 1 cent per minute. Skype is a bit more expensive at 2.3 cents per minute.

Google voice is super easy, you can call from your laptop - at least the battery will not die while you wait :) Call quality is excellent.

I don'y have a Macbook, but on a regular PC it goes simply through google chrome - no installation needed.

I don'y have a Macbook, but on a regular PC it goes simply through google chrome - no installation needed.

Thanks for the additional info - I use Google Chrome too!! I am thinking tomorrow will be the good day to try calling NVC - a week from NOA2. - and calling three times a day starts (hopefully not😆)

171 days of wait later...

10/27/2017 NOA2 (Notice Date in the hardcopy)

10/30/2017 NOA2 on USCISAPP/E-mail

12/08/2017 - Reached 6 weeks without any notice from NVC. Time to send the NOA2 copy to NVC and figure out what's going on.

12/18/2017 - NVC receives our case and assigns a number

12/21/2017 - Case headed to Spain Embassy in Madrid

01/02/2018 -  Spain Embassy received our 129f packet

01/08/2018 - Packet READY at Embassy - Received Packet 3

05/18/2018 - 4 months waiting to collect all documents... and then, documents sent to the Embassy.

05/30/2018 - Packet 4 received and interview scheduled.

06/13/2018 - Interview at the Embassy // Approved!
06/19/2018 - Visa Received :)
08/10/2018 - POE Chicago

10/16/2018 - Wedding

 

AoS JOURNEY!

01/07/2019 - AoS, EaD and AP package sent

01/11/2019 - NoA1

Using Google Hangouts really seems like online (virtual) meeting among  international offices I used to use in the company worked for😊 Let me try that too...love free stuff, thanks so much!@Kirin2002

Hangouts and google voice are the same thing ;) When you go to voice.google.com and place a phone call , another windows opens (hangouts).

Is there any update on what date are they in now?.. i tried checking the website.. it seems that they are hving system maintenance.. it says when i entered my case number, sorry we coudnt find your case..:(

We waited through long weekend for this 😞 what else will they do to make us miserable

Yup, definitely doesn't seem like it was planned outage. No news of maintenance or updates on their site or twitter.

 

Being in the IT world, my guess would be they applied some update over the weekend when no one was working and something broke today. They must of tried to fix the issues they were having at NVC, surprise they haven't rolled back changes yet.

Guess they are getting tired of getting called on they are not processing cases beyond a certain date when we are producing actual case numbers that have been so they decided to shut down the site so we can't check. Black helicopters have taken flight......:ph34r:
