So sorry to hear that! We are struggling too, they don't want a Summary of Divorce, but that's all he can get for the court house because when it's an easy divorce they don't issue million of papers! So no idea how we do this! The most stupid part is they say it's not signed by a judge....WHICH IT IS!!!!!

Did they ask for anything else to you?

We are piling up evidence of meeting! We have so much the selection it's a problem!

Do you know  how to do if we can't fit everything in the envelope they provided?

Oh I didn't know they provided an envelope (we are in UK and we used my fiancee's parents place as a postal address), so I guess we'll have to get that send over here

That is ridiculous saying it isn't signed by a judge!!  It seems to me they may just be trying to delay people any way they can because there's so many applicants. Maybe ask a lawyer for help. They've asked us to prove her residency in Nevada (which we can't), or prove California accepts the divorce. So I think we do option 2 and I'm guessing that is by getting a marriage licence for California, which you have to do in person. So we may have to fly all the way there just to get that, unless the lawyer can give us any other options. It just so difficult!

That is crazy they want more evidence of your meeting. I sent them numerous flight tickets with both our names on, and photos of the destinations we visited. Hopefully this helps you!

Yes we are putting together a timeline of all our trips and our life together, it just takes forever!

Your plan sounds good, I'm sure it will work!

I'm not sure what we can do if they think that divorce decree it's too short and that's all the court house can give us!

We are thinking about asking a court house to give us a declaration that says that's all we can get!

Good thing you two are together (we don't see each other since july!) but I have to say pay attention, it's very possible they won't let the Applicant in the country!

I see new approvals! CONGRATS guys! :jest:

We received the Noa 2 on the mail (a little bit late) but it is dated the 27th October instead the 30th, when we received the notification. Should we start calling the NVC? For those that have been approved before us, did you already received your NVC number?

Cheers!!

Noa2 on 25th of OCT, no news yet

When I sent my divorce decree to my lawyer, she commented that one of the pages wasn't signed. There were two pages at the end, one signed, one not. This was the copy the court gave me the day of the divorce. I had to go back and ask for a certified copy which was not only fully signed, but also stamped with an official seal and signed/dated that it was a certified copy. If you are using an old copy / the copy he got the day of the divorce, then I'd recommend going to get a certified copy and sending that in.
