as much as I love seeing all these approvals pop in, I get frustrated more to see how they can approve a May 1st and May 30th case the same day!

They filed 4 weeks apart and that's ridiculous!

I wish they would figure out a better system to finish all the ones from week 1 in May, before they step to week 2 and so on.

If they did it that way then it would never move forward. There are cases that needs more time for background checks or security checks or rfes... lots of different reasons. If they waited till a whole week is processed we'd be waiting 200+ days at a time. And unfortunately sometimes for the reasons we don't even know.

even though ugh it frustrates me too. This is the reality of this kind of work.

Lots of things happening around round this week. Read around you'd be interested too.

Maybe it did but not updated on the system? Always check your mail! And maybe get a usps informed delivery account.

If they introduced an additional status indicating Administrative Processing (aka Background Checks process) then at least we’d know all cases in one week have been ‘touched’ before they move to the following week.

Now that is a yes!!

But also it may panic some? Think about everyone going crazy here when they see it! 😳 I know I would...

Long weekend coming up for sure. I am running out of things to do to keep myself busy. Seeing all approvals around me behind me is stressful. Hoping that today will be my day is one thing, My May 15th petition may be approved and not know it and its in the mail and coming but I have my doubts. I have lost my faith they will get to mine soon. Going into each day thinking this will be my day and what a let down at the end of the day. I have been through a lot of stressful things in my life and this is the worst. Only knowing that there is a good result coming at some point is the only  good point. A relationship that survives this process has got to be a good one, weather this storm and we can conquer anything. I never will understand how the process has worked, is working, or will work. My guess no matter what they do it isn't going to work. Maybe by skipping a bunch of files and moving on makes them look like they are making progress on paper to the higher ups. Pull all the easy files to boost the numbers then go back and pick out the moderate ones then finally the harder ones and let the hardest ones sit and hope they go away. I don't know, a lot of black helicopters flying around now. Just hope they find my file soon and process it. I know they had to have touched it, it was right in between the two files they approved last week. They had to touch it to move it out of the way right?

Does anyone know if a case inquiry does more harm or add to the timeline? Talked to my attorney and was advised to wait a couple more weeks. Told me that they did a case inquiry for someone at 5.5 months and got a approval but my case is hitting 6 months now and told to wait to see if we get a approval in a couple of weeks. Seems like telling me to wait would make me think it would add time to what I have already waited, definitely do not want to add one second more. Okay adding 1 second would be worth it though, adding several weeks not so much.

I don't think it will do harm but try two more weeks.. I know you're frustrated and anxious... but you may call and get the you're already approved too that's also a possibility. Either way it won't change much... just a bit more.. or at least maybe till Monday as mondays seems to be approval days..

(I'm sorry I don't have better words left. I feel you, really... 😐)

I was skipped and still never showed up here. Just got a letter saying approved so there is hope

Finger crossed! Hope it will happen to us too. Thank you for giving us hope. Have you ever call USCIS before got the approval?
