It wouldn't surprise me that was the case. Gear with patience, though I have the hunch they are coming back to work at a more "normal" pace now :)

Day 105 here since noa1 :(

Me and my fiancee were apart for 1.5 year :( only facetiming and looots of texts, then when I finally got vacation from work and school I got to go visit him february/march this year. The waiting is terrible and saying goodbye hurts too much. The good thing is that, hopefully, it won't be necessary anymore! :):) keep up with the good vibe guys, we are so close now!

Positive thoughts coming your way! And on a lighter note, it won't be 1 1/2 years until you see each other again!

I fly up to Japan every 2 months to see her and can confirm, wallet is sad. :bonk:

Was hoping to get the NOA2 sometime this month but its looking like its pushing a month or maybe two at this point. :clock:

I'll be going to Japan for about 3 weeks in September for work, so I'm excited about that! Nothing else to do but keep playing for this horrible waiting game. Hang in there everyone!

No, your eyes weren't playing tricks on you. I've looked at the site around July 13th approx. and the K1 at CSC stated "February 2017". Left my computer for a few hours, went back to do something else and saw that timeout screen had come up. I refreshed and pulled the processing times up again and was about to go to another tab when I saw that it was back to January 2017. Needless to say I was like "#######?!" It just went to February 2017 again (and remained) in the last few days. When I first sent my petition off (5/2/17) the site stated it was processing December 2016. It stayed on December 2016 through May until it changed to January 2017 in June, then changed again, like I stated, to February 2017 around July 13th or so, then back to January 2017 the same day. It remained January 2017 til this month. The site states that the month updates around the 15th of each month. I think it automated. If they are "behind", I guess someone sets the month back manually.

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, that is superior to every frame of mind, shall be garrisoning your hearts and your apprehensions in Christ Jesus."

I read somewhere in the other forums that there was a large influx of applications in December of 2017 and January of 2017 which has caused the backlog and unusually high wait times at USCIS currently. My guess is that when trump won the election, people with significant others abroad scrambled to get an application in before  his harsh anti-emigration policies took effect.

I may have found some data to support your hunch.. (https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-all-uscis-application-and-petition-form-types

it looks like processing is down by 3000 applications (about 30%) from the second quarter of the year. This is unusually slower than previous years in the second quarter of the year. It also shows that my assumption about some type of presidential election influx of applicants was inaccurate since the number of applications are about the same as previous years for the same time frame.  But if things go the way the data shows, we can expect things to pick up now since we are already in the third quarter.  Hopefully.

Rashed tried coming here for Valentine's Day. But there was "not a Muslim ban" going on. When he got to the airport they interrogated him for 7 hours about his religion. Asked him his political views then escorted him to a plane back home.

Oh no that is so bogus. Im sorry he had to go through that.

Sorry to hear about the long separation. I am wondering did you have any issue visiting US with application submitted?

I visited him in  february/march with B2 visa, and we started the process in late april, when I was back home already. The main purpose of my trip, besides being with him 24h a day lol, was filling the forms together :)

Yes, indeed... this process is not for the faint of heart, unfortunately.  I try to keep positive but it's not easy when things seem to be moving in slow motion, if at all.  All we can do is wait and know that life will be better "soon" and that soon is sooner or later... :))

Thanks for that. Keeping the faith.

Having a rough go of it today. Haven't heard a single thing from rashed in over 48 hours. No texts, calls, nothing and it's showing my texts are not going through. I am sick with worry and beside myself in a panic. Help

maybe some technical issues on that side. Do you have FB contact with any of his friends , family or co-workers over there? you may want to consider contacting one of them to see if they know anything.

Could be lost or damaged phone.

I'm sure all is fine.
