I will check that out.  Right now Asiana at $585 is the winner.  Have you flown EVA?  How are they?

I flew EVA last December and loved it! They had just started flying from Chicago to Manila (layover in Taipei) and I was able to get my ticket for $497. (I live in Louisville, KY, so I had my family drive me to ORD to leave.) Prices have gone up a bit since then, but still a good option. The staff was sweet and the service was amazing. I had to change my departure date a week before I left and they changed it for me for free. I would highly recommend EVA.

For my most recent visit (July-August), I flew with Korean Airlines. This time I flew straight from Louisville to Manila for $1159. Definitely more expensive but much more convenient since I live 10 minutes from the airport. I was impressed with Korean Airlines, too. The food wasn't my favorite. But the staff was super accommodating.

It looks like prices are around $600 from MNL to ORD through EVA. My plan, which will probably change, is to fly my fiance' to ORD and just pick him up. I'd prefer to fly him on an airline I've used because he has never flown before

I really enjoy Korean food so I didn't mind the Bibimbap at all!!!  Asiana Airlines was a great flight.  Did you ever look at a cheap flight to O'Hare from Louisville and then to Manila?  That would probably be cheaper than the $1159.  I went to Manila in August/September on Asiana for $524.94 through Expedia.

I knew that.  There is nothing from the US direct to Manila.  Incheon is a beautiful airport!

I've done a little looking but not too much. I was really hoping to have Mark here by Christmas, but as you know that is impossible. I've thought about visiting during the holidays but I just can't justify spending money on a plane ticket when I know he will be here soon.  Hopefully.......

My fiance is flying out Cebu which is island down. So one thing I looked at and found cheap and eas was to fly her from cebu to lax 6 hr layover and then up to Indianapolis. Louisvile is only 15 mins for me live in New Albany but Indy is less then 2 hrs. It about 300 to Lax to 400 and 100 too 200 to Indy. Nice to see someone so close going through this to.

I know what you mean.  I wasn't going to take this trip as I assume they could come to the states in January or February.  My friend who works at United is going so I am going with him.  I am still hoping for another round trip for me and 3 more one way trips soon!!!!
