No less than three months before a NOA2. I personally have not seen any time less than that outside of exceptions which includes USCIS being caught up(which is truly an exception). I just made my third month this past 5th.

Well not to be a downer here....but we are May filers (NOA1 5/15) and our timeline moved again to the negative...we are now Sept. 15 to the 21st. Each week it seems they push us back a week. This is so difficult as my fiancé is from the Philippines and cannot visit the USA without a visitor visa which is nearly impossible to get. I don't understand why so many other countries can visit the USA with just a passport. I guess it is back to the Philippines for another visit...which I don't mind....but I would love her to visit me for a couple of weeks and see her future home.....oh well...hang in there guys, good things come to those who wait (or at least that is what my grandma always said HEE HEE).

Each country's passport is weaker or stronger than another's depending on a number of factors. The US Passport is not that strong, to be honest, as it is only in the top 10. Countries (like the US) have restrictions based on other specific countries. For example, the US and Philippines immigration restrictions are somewhat strict, but not too strict. I would say this is because of America wanting to prevent Filipinos/as from escaping to the country and becoming an illegal alien. There are many states that are "Santuary States" that will pretty much protect illegal alien's from being deported (not completely). Also, there are also "sanctuary cities" in which a city acts the same way.  These sanctuaries cause problems on the federal level and almost encourage the federal laws to be stricter. Anyways, my opinion on the US preventing illegal immigrants is biased. There are a number of factors that play into why we have such a lengthy process for Visa applications on certain countries. I'd rather not get into politics, but Philippines is just a risky country to allow anyone to enter the US.

(Other countries as well, are obviously risky, too)

Hey my fellow petitioners,

My 3 month mark is coming tomorrow the 10th. I do have a lawyer working through the process with us and he just told me yesterday unfortunately the USCIS is moving VERY SLOW and Noa2 are taking up to 5 months to be approved.😒

Hopefully it doesnt take that long for all of us. keep faith everyone,be patient.

If VJ's Stats and Trends (and even the USCIS Processing Times page) are any indicators of when a NOA2 would arrive, it would truly be an exception(miracle) if any May 2017 Filer have received his/her NOA2. But I believe in miracles. I expect a NOA2 everyday and pray for it (actually, I expect an expedited petition straight to the Consulate and a "GO" to schedule an interview. :D). I use the Stats and Trends to plan, but I never let it rule out miracles so I keep my plans "flexible". These are what i keep in mind during this process:

1. It's neither a marathon or a sprint, it's an obstacle course with Starts, Stops, and Backups.

2. expect, pray, and prepare for the best:D. But also expect and prepare for the worst:angry:

3. Do the best I can, as quickly as I can(RFE), and "flex-ercise" my plans.

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, that is superior to every frame of mind, shall be garrisoning your hearts and your apprehensions in Christ Jesus."

And thats weird cause my estimated time for noa2 is one week earlier than it was last week! I just checked it. Fingers crossed for all of us! 🤞🏼

 Hey pmeyer12229:

I am in the exact same position. my NOA1 is may 16th. I left the US to be with my fiancé and I am trying to stay here as long as I possibly can in the hope that we will get our NOA2 and the rest of the process done before I have to leave. Its extremely difficult to be apart and its getting harder after each visit.  Hope all of us get a speedy NOA2 and beyond.
