We received our NOA1 on 2nd May waiting on the NOA2. I'm hoping early to mid August. I'm the beneficiary from UK and fiancée is from Charlotte, NC.

Welcome! I'm an hour north of Charlotte, in Winston Salem, and my fiancé is from Australia! Maybe we should meet up once we're all in NC :)

If you fill out your timeline on here, it will give you an estimated adjudication date, I believe. My NOA1 was 19th May, and I believe ours is due around mid-September currently. It

I don't wanna be a party pooper but no April filers have been approved yet and is the end of July..:(

We should be expecting NOA2 by Mid September if USCIS puts on their batteries and start approving April people!!

On another note.. I've noticed some Ads in this website that advertise insurance for the beneficiaries.. Does anyone knows anything about this? are we required by law to have insurance when we get there on our K1s? once we get out EADs our employers can provide us with insurance without issues?

Live, love, laugh.. and try not to think too much about USCIS

Hi Guys. May filer here as well. Sent the package last May 19, 2017. NOA1 was May 24, 2017.

Beneficiary is from Manila, Philippines.

Glad that there's a forum like this for May filers, which really helps for those who don't have much knowledge about the K1 visa process.

The waiting game is really frustrating.

Processing a Visa through the PHILIPPINES?  Please READ.

I see your processing through the Philippines. Hank (from the Philippine Sub-Forum) has a website that will walk you through step by step on the Philippines process. It's free to use. He lists every step, including documents and other pertinent information so that you avoid the "gotchas" that are presented while processing. Gotchas can cost you time and or money. He'll help you avoid those.

Also, join others who are taking their steps for their journey in the sub-forum for the Philippines.  It's a group of those who have gone before you and those who are near where you are in your journey. Everyone is willing to help guide you and answer any questions.  Many years of experience there from Veterans.

Also, get the Embassy letter for the Philippines so you can start preparing for "whats next" on your journey. Letter is here: https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

First dress fitting on Sunday! Woopdeewoo! I'm super pumped!

This is a very happy time for you. I hope you continue with joy.

May I enter some information that would be helpful for you and many others here.  Many of you may have a party, or a engagement party or a big gathering of sorts where lots of pictures and fun abounds. That's going to be so much fun.

BUT.... don't bring those pictures to your interview nor should you discuss any "parties" as the CO will pickup on that and question you and most times the outcome is not very good.  They will think that it is a wedding, even if you stand there in front of them and being truthful you deny that it was a wedding. We have seen many on VJ that this has happened to and they were denied. Once denied you can't adjudicate your case any longer. It returns to USCIS with "DENIED" stamped across it.

So PEOPLE please heed my warning. I want all of you to pass and be with your love one for the rest of your life.

I can't see my fiancé until we are approved. He tries visiting me in February, but was sent back at the airport.

😞 I have not seen him in almost 1 year. Rheees no worry of any sort of wedding or celebration before he is here forever sadly.

This is the official word from USCIS.

The average waiting time for approval of the I-129F is five months. In some cases, the approval could arrive in as little as 3 months. In others, it could take longer. You can check the current I-129F petition processing times to see if there are any backlogs at the USCIS service center processing your petition.

Times can vary. We have seen 90 days and others 6 months.  Remember there is a lot of initial backgroun checking that takes place and each of you are different.

Here is the steps that takes place to complete this process. https://www.uscis.gov/ilink/docView/AFM/HTML/AFM/0-0-0-1/0-0-0-1067.html

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing ok. I e-mailed the US Embassy here in Iceland to ask them how long they usually take from receiving the package from NVC and scheduling the interview. They e-mailed me back and told me it would be OK to start looking at the medical examination. Here in Iceland only 2 doctors are permitted to do the physical, so they are pretty backed up. Especially during the summer, because of summer holidays. The soonest appointment they had was in September. Maybe this is something you should consider looking into as well, just to account for any possible delays. Just be careful not to go to the physical too soon. It has to be within 3 months of the Embassy Interview.

My fiance also tried contacting her local representative to see if we can get expedited. She works for the military, and I've seen some military personnel get expedited. This probably won't work, since she is only a contractor for the military doing DNA anaylsis, but it doesn't hurt to ask. She does get similar benefits at airports as the military does.

I'm just trying to be on top of everything.. I do get to see her in two weeks, so that is a plus side!! ^_^
