Are there more RFEs than usual?

I think its normal, looking at April cases there are currently 607 that got RFE, 303 which response responded to RFE's so thats 910 RFE"s plus any cases which are approved now but received RFE at some point but are approved now this data we do not have as we did not regularly scanned April petitions.

oh shhhhh! :o

they better put the approvals last, and get us another 100 or 150 through today!!!!

I have a theory, some adjudicators who work cases they go through case files and if a case needs RFE they put it on the side on their table or something, and the following morning first thing they do is scan those files in the system to generate a RFE.

Second theory i have is telecommuters who work from home, they come into office biweekly drop off old files and pick up new files. When they come into office they scan in all their approved case files and RFE cases files also thus we get mad load of approvals on the first working day after weekend on bi-weekly basis.

We got mad approvals on

10/10 - Tuesday (Since Monday was holiday) -  135 approvals

10/16 - Monday - 35 approval

10/23 - Monday - 95 Approvals

11/6 -  Monday - I am expecting mad approvals

lol this is all a theory may very well be wrong. Not enough occurrences to know for sure

Thank you for continuing to do this, @Shoegum! This up and down is kind of brutal, but I guess this is a rhythm they have been in for a few weeks now.

thanks again for this monthly overview.

none of it makes sense how they get to numbers per day, so the home office work is really not helping out.

i wish they had a "each employee needs to work on 25 cases per day" policy!

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

i'm pretty sure they have a quota they have to hit everyday. Also don't forget they are working on other month cases also such as April and other type Visa's aswell.

How do we get in touch with tier2?, i want to try

When you call, you ask to speak with an immigration officer. The immigration officer is actually the Tier 2 category. Tier 1 are just simply customer service agents with little to no authority. They can provide information on your case you may already be privy to, i.e, status, turn around times, etc.

We all did when we started.  I assumed, as an early June filer that my fiancee and her kids would witness their first white Christmas.  Now most like winter will be over before they arrive.

Man, that just diminishes all hopes and dreams for the holidays. Will you and the family be able to travel over there or would you just wait for her to arrive over here?

Think about it - waiting til NOA2 then waiting for NVC number then Medical and interview and then awaiting passport to arrive with K1 visa and then flying out to the US. It's not a quick process.

Lord have mercy. You are right, it is so important to put things in a realistic perspective. Yikes. So, wait I thought that some, not all, will get an approval upon the completion of the interview. Meaning, you can possibly be granted the visa right after the interview.

My NOA2 was 10/10/17 and it is two weeks after and the NVC still hasn't recieved my case. :( Is that abnormal? How long does that usually take? Thanks

Same thing for me. I've been calling once a day after 6 PM PST, got the same answer every time " Not here yet, It can take up to 6 weeks blah blah blah..." I really don't know how they roll while people approved on a same day and some are going smooth like butter and not for the others. So you're not alone! :P
