Check out the prices from Chicago to Manila!  There are a couple people here that saved time and money by getting a flight to O’Hare first!  I have never had more than 1 stop.  Usually Hong Kong or Tokyo.  The flights work so well that I can just have a couple hours in between flights.  My last flight went through Inchon.  I believe earlier this year someone flew from Colorado to O’Hare to Manila and back and saved over $500 and the total trip was shorter.

Thanks....that would feel weird as I would be going the wrong direction for a while :) ...I love Philippine airlines out of LAX....book economy, then on their website, one can bid for 1st class..I usually bid 800 dollars and never lost. 1st class is so much nicer...No I am not a snob, just 6' 3" and don't fit in regular seating very well...especially for a 16 hour flight :) You just got back, right?

Correct me someone if I am wrong. But as you’re technically married(legally or religiously, doesn’t matter) the k1 visa essentially becomes the wrong visa to enter The United States in. You’re entering to get married. So, I would think it’s better to put it off until you get married first in the US. You can be denied at the POE too even with the visa in hand if they get to know you have had a church wedding because then you’re committing visa fraud.

Makes sense, better to play it safe then. Thanks

I am May 15 too. 329755....we can be thankful for no RFE yet, or denial. They likely have looked at our files and are waiting for background checks to be completed. It will be weird passing my timeline tomorrow....I only know this by reading about an ex-adjudicator that worked on K1 visas about 4 years ago. Some files are more complicated than others so don't fret too much if they look like they "skip" over us. More than likely, we are good so far. I must admit, I am getting very anxious as I don't want to spend more money to visit the Philippines or take more time off (I want to save all that for when she gets here)...However, since I have not seen my princess since April, we are both going through severe withdrawal symptoms....our addiction to each other needs treatment

!!!!! NOA2 PLEASE...HEE HEE...

I had a most horrid dream that I had been waiting 167 days for the NOA2 without news...oh wait...:(

The unfortunate reality of day 167!!!

My sarcasm levels are at an all time high and there is nothing else to do about from lol at this woefully painful process of no news.

UGHHHHHHHH

Please rain down on us all this week!! And by rain, I mean torrential torrents of raining - no umbrellas required :D

i wonder about those background checks. i have a unique name (nobody else in the US shares my name), a 100% clean record and a high-level government clearance from work, but I'm still waiting.
