My fiance was here in the usa for 10 months on h-1 visa several years ago. Will she already have A- number and where can I find it. She already has social security number.

I don't know if 10 months apply to it in USA.. in japan you get it after 90 days, but some countries say 6 months or they only give if there's an immigration.

If she had an ead card or gc or any kind of government id in US it should be on it. Otherwise she most likely doesn't have one

She has never been to the US. So why is there an A# on this RFE?

Are they asking for an A# or they gave her an A#?

they gave her an A number= normal as her case is moving and this number will be given to you with the NOA2 so hers has been created.

they are asking for an A number= you can leave it blank or write N/A

No RFE. Still waiting on NOA2. NOA1 -may 18. I was wondering if she might already have A# from her previous trip.

The G-325A wants an A# which is on the I-797E RFE. I was told that is the File Number and not an Alien Registration Number. You put NONE if you have submitted an I-129F with a G-325A because you don't have the A# yet. But if you did not submit the G-325A, and they request you to submit it on the I-797E (which has the A# on it), then you put it in the box on the G-325A. That's my understanding. I've researched this and there is still confusion about it depending on what type of visa you've submitted and where you are in the immigration process.

That's a good signature. It should be adopted as "I-129F May 2017 Filers" motto.

Yes exactly, that's my understanding too.

(I had to research too because I have alien registration number in Japan, and when I applied to European visa in the past they wanted that so I had to look up if they mean American or my existing number inJapan)

And you are so right with all the confusion... They could have made their job so easy by making more specific explanations and guidelines...
