Don't want to bum you out, but there was a couple recently approved here that were at 202 days with no RFE....must of had a hard time with the background checks. It appears as if that is what makes files look like they are out of order, but there is a link to a past USCIS adjudicator on this site that answers many K1 visa questions regarding how they do this process...Let me know if you want me to post the link...very interested read.

Yeah we've had no RFE. If it takes 202 days I'll just have to roll with it, its life. But can't say I don't get emotional at times.

Cant understand why there would be an issue with myself and US fiancé's background checks as he is ex military and no convictions, totally straight and I haven't ever had so much as a speeding fine!

Yes please i would very much appreciate that

You may also want to search user ‘MDUdall’ on google groups. His info is as old as the ex adjudicator’s Q&A on here, but he describes the football pitch-sized room where all the cases are filed on the shelves waiting to be assigned to adjudicators etc. You may find it helpful and comforting to read in order to pass the time and calm the anxiety. Hope you’re ok.

Some peeps here have asked for this link again. It is an interview with an adjudicator that worked about 4 years ago for the USCIS and K1 visa process. It explains the process when he was working there. Knowing the USA Federal Government, things probably are the same as before. I did not originally post this, but found it an interesting read. I forgot who I got it from...sorry original poster :(
