We already did the Police clearance and DS-160. Just wait for my NVC case number to make an appointment and start medical exams

I wish I sent my I-129F packet earlier. We waited one whole months and took it easy before sending it out by April 20, and it took them 12 freaking days to get back. Therefore I became May filer instead of April :))

As far as the fee goes....... Do we have to wait till its "in transit" or "ready" or can I pay it now since I got my NVC case number and filled out ds160 already???

@NoonymoonIf you wanna to speed up. You can book the interview, pay visa fee, get the appointment confirmation to do medical. You can always reschedule interview.

 Ok thanks..... So the paper with the interview appt date that is required in order to make the medical appt.... is that just a paper that we print from ustraveldocs.com???

@Noonymoon I think you have to pay visa fee first after filling out the required information at ustraveldocs.com before the appointment schedule can be unlocked. And yes print the appointment confirmation after that

Before, Vermont, Nebraska, California and Texas service centers would all process I-129f applications. Now it's only California that handles them. So CSC has 4 times the workload than what it had before. This is all because Texas TSC was very slow in general, california got all the backlog. CSC used to be the lucky service center to get because it was super quick. But no longer! So that's the reason.

Yes. Once someone picks up just ask about backgrounds check and name check. They will saybwe dont know ask if you can talk to someone that dies. They get you over.

10 Business days is the norm for the issuance of a case number. Calling before is futile. Just my experience from helping others.

Depends on the country. Since you do not have a completed profile it's hard for me to ascertain what country you are processing through.  Some countries it's not a problem completing the DS-160 and paying your interview application fee, while others it is.  Knowing your country presents a better possibility for me or others to be a little more exact with an answer to your question. That's the funny thing about this thread. If you stay here in this thread you are asking people from different countries that have different procedures, and your asking them to answer about your Embassy. Expand your horizons and visit your Embassy and least of all head on over to the sub-forum for your country where there are "experts" that have been through the entire process and have helped hundreds of others just like you.
