The short answer is that no one really knows yet. I contacted my senators office and they said that our case would most likely be set aside at the NVC stage and that they would not forward it to any embassy until we can provide enough evidence to satisfy some type of waiver.  the criteria for the waiver requirement is mentioned in the new ban but who know if and how it would be implemented.

This whole indefinite ban from Trump has me and my fiancé terrified that we will never be able to be with each other... Thankfully, the judges order just bought us a few weeks before the court of appeals reviews it!  praying for an approval and that we can an interview and visa through this legal mess!

day 159.

Wishing you guys a fair and quick as possible approval. You deserve to be together just as much as any of us. The last ban was struck down, and I would be really surprised to see anything indefinite make it past our judicial system. Sending positive thoughts.

158 daaayyys. We're close to 160! Yeah!

I bet I'm going to reach almost 180 before hear anything from USCIS. But I stopped caring. We'll get it when we do. No more worries! I have a better life if I'm not stressed about this all the time.

Also I have to leave my job a month before I want to really leave, so I guess I'll be there with my love in February or so.

This is what people are frustrated. Congratulations to those who are approve! But the thing is why is it that they don't do it accordingly? They should know the feeling that other people are also waiting why is it they jump from case to case?

Not sure who you are addressing here maybe @smilei? You can't schedule an appointment until you have you NVC/MNL number and after you have your receipt for visa fee deposit from BPI.  They need to fall in line very early for both interview and medical some show up at 2am to 3am. If son is an infant or toddler you might be able to make priority arrangement directly with ST. Lukes or Embassy to avoid line not sure though.  Keep calling NVC if you get the # this week things can move fast but interview appointments are going very fast as I've found out. One tip. You can make the deposit NOW without the MNL/NVC number at BPI Philippines bank.

Hey Steven,

I'm planning to call this week for our MNL number - curious, did you guys make the deposit and if so, were you provided a valid receipt number used to schedule your appointment? @smilei, if you could also chime in on how you were able to schedule it so fast, that would be great!

I don't think so. For me it took three days from email notice to the get the hardcopy in the mail. It may be beneficial to look through your original application and identify what the RFE could possibly be for. I did this so I actually had everything prepared and sent the RFE off the same day. It was received by USCIS the following day. In total, the RFE delayed me by 15 days (I got the email notice September 25th and received NOA2 October 10th). I hope it is an easy fix! Let me know if you have any questions!

NOA1 Received Date: April 27th, 2017

NOA1 Notice Date: May 1st, 2017

RFE email notice: September 25th, 2017

RFE hardcopy received: September 28th, 2017

USCISs Response to RFE received: September 29th, 2017

NOA2: October 10th, 2017

NVC Received and Case Number Assigned: October 24th, 2017

NVC Left and Consulate Received: October 26th, 2017

Medical Exam: November 7th, 2017

Interview: December 5th, 2017 APPROVED

Visa on hand: December 8th, 2017

POE (LAX): December 12th, 2017
