Not sure how their website is working, but an approval came through on my USCIS app (not our approval), for a NOA1 18 Apr 17 for USA.  Not sure if that was on your last list @Shoegum because these don't list WAC numbers when they come through.  Just makes me wonder how backed up their system may be to spit something out on a Sunday??

Also, great advice given to me about signing up for the USPS informed delivery.  It's free and gives you snapshot pics of what mail is coming to you daily, minus the junk mail we all get.  I'm signed up and trying to keep all my options open to keeping informed on our package, between our lawyer, @Shoegum downloads, this USPS informed delivery and to USCIS online account and phone app.  One of them has to provide results soon we are praying!

Hi guys may 15th filer too, hoping to hear a response this week or next! Just a quick question, how long does it take after NOA2 to schedule the interview and then receive the all good to travel to the states. My fiance is Nicaraguan and we are doing it at the consulate in Managua just for references sake. Hope we hear some confirmations soon!

Okay, the third one down....C and S have a NOA1 date of 6/1/17 and NOA@ of 10/14/17...is this an entry error by the couple? This is from Igor's list for those who know....it can be found on this site under processing times.....if it is true, I am truly confused...I mean more confused than before...Congrats to them, but I have no idea how the approval process works. I think it must have something to do with background checks and how fast a case clears...it is all I can think of.

Maybe send a private message and see if they respond?

I been following for a while but this is my first post.  

 

I know someone gave instructions on what number to call and which options to choose where calling NVC to get your case number.  But I was wondering if there's something in particular you have to ask in order to get the number. 

 

Example..... if I call and say something along the lines of "hi I got my NOA2, I was wondering if my file had reached your office yet cuz I'd like my case number" Would that be good enough.  Or would they say "you have to wait until you get a letter" 

 

Just basically wondering if the folks at NVC are pretty nice or if there are tricks to getting your case number quickly.

I don't know if there are any tricks... I received my NOA2 on October 5th and have called NVC twice but they still didn't have my case when I called.  I will tell you that it is a Night and Day experience (at least that's my take) between USCIS and NVC; NVC is the "Day" experience... really nice people with actual senses of humor... who would have thought?!

Actually this person received approval notification about a week or so ago and I had posted about this as well around that time. No idea whether it's expedited or not. I sent a pm to that person, but didn't get any response. So, your guess is as good as mine.

here is my earlier message. the same person has updated it to 10/14 now. so, it's either that they were told or got notification that it got approved on 10/2, but got the physical letter on 10/14, or they are just messing with us

Yes,  my NOA2 just came.  So I have not been waiting a long time for my case number from NVC or anything like that. I was just wanted to get info on how to deal with the people at NVC when I do call in the near future.

As far as I know and according to my attorney you can not expedite a K1 fiancee visa, I asked Him to expedite mine and He told me only if you are in the Military.  I am a May 15 Noa 1 receive date, 153 days. Hopefully soon. Keep the faith my VJ May filers family!
