Hmm... so I thought I only needed the payment receipt to schedule the interview.

The payment is required.  You need the receipt for the interview.  Medical is also required as they need that information to approve or deny the visa.  Most, if not all, require the medical information be brought to the interview.  The visa won't be approved unless the medical gets approved.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Nope. At least here in brazil, to schedule the interview in the embassy website, we need to have paid the fee, enter the DS number and the NVC number. Because if your case isnt ready in the embassy yet, the website won't let you schedule it (so that's what the number is for).

Thank you for this information. I'm a July filer. My fiance is from Brazil, and he seems clueless on how the process works.

It's early still, I'm sure they have only been at work for an hour and a half, my guess.  0800 start probably, West Coast time.
