It's not shocking as cases are not necessarily reviewed in complete order. It depends on the adjudicator and how the boxes have been allocated to all the adjudicators to review. Also depends on how quickly background checks come back and how fast an adjudicator reviews a case. And other parameters.

anw i heard that they are working around may 3 and 4. so is that day a received day or Noa1 day? because they received my case on May 9, but the day in NOA1is May 11.

It's not so much they aren't doing it accordingly - each adjudicator reviews at a different pace and some cases are "easier" than others. For instance, background checks can clear "faster" on one case than they do on another or one adjudicator review process is not as swift as the other.

 

Yes, they are working on May 3 and 4, however, all of May cases are mostly likely allocated and sitting in boxes alongside adjudicators cubicles so if you see a date get approved before yours, it does not mean they are skipping cases just because. In fact, I'm almost confident that they have an electronic Case Management System similar to what my job has for our caseload where each adjudicator probably gets assigned a certain amount of cases per week by a supervisor who manages and watches how production is going daily. When one adjudicator gets finished with their case load, they get another set and so forth.

 

Yes, USCIS goes by received date - VJ timelines go by notice date.

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable holiday weekend although I know that our NOA2's consumed our minds the entire weekend so it must have been hard to enjoy the long weekend!

 

To your new May members or May "lurkers" - Welcome and Good luck to you all. Please don't forget to create your timeline and update it accurately as time follows you through your journey.

 

Now that the DACA deadline is behind us, I'm praying that we will see more approvals/RFE's or "touched" cases in the days ahead. The next US holiday is exactly a month from today (Veteran's Day is on Nov. 10th) so hopefully, USCIS will cover a lot of ground within these next 4 weeks.

 

FYI...for those that are not aware I figure I would share this vital information. When you see that case or cases before/after or "around" your case that have been approved, please keep in mind that particular case or cases may have not necessarily been a I-129F case (K1 visa which is us). CSC handles all or majority of different petitions types daily, and as petitions are mailed and received into USCIS, each case is scanned, barcoded and given a WAC# IN THE ORDER THAT CASE IS RECEIVED. Meaning, if they received a K1 visa petition and a spousal visa petition on the same received date, it solely depends on which case gets scanned, barcoded and given a WAC# first, therefore, if for example, you see cases ending in "4123" "4124" and "4125" and you see "4125" approved before yours, that doesn't necessarily mean that case was K1 visa case approved before yours. It could have been a work visa petition, or spousal visa petition or any other petition type that came in and was received on the same date as yours.

don't go by the estimated dates on VJ site. Only go by dates posted by people who got approved or USCIS tracker app

They should just approve all May filers today and start June's now so they can get back on track!
