Yes hopefully next week I'm not sure if the USCIS is working today though... I know for sure they won't be on Monday

We filed K-1 because we thought it would be the fastest way to be together, and we would still have have time to plan a wedding. Had I known how long we would be waiting, we would have done spouse visa for all the reasons you mentioned. Oh well, the wait continues.

may 30th here as well. Still no NOA2. Don't get discouraged. I believe this should be our month, seeing as april folks have seem to get a lot of responses in september

Once you are approved, then you go and do your DS-160.  That's the instructions from our lawyer.
