Long-term follower of this thread, tracking actual NOA2 dates as opposed to the usual USCIS ambiguity!

 

My fiancee and I had our application received on 2nd May, with NOA1 dated May 4th.

 

We passed 150 days at the back end of last week, and I encouraged my fiancee to speak to USCIS to see if we could get any information. On Monday, she was met by the usual 'March 31st... can't tell you any more...', the general frustrating and generic responses they give.

 

However, yesterday, she managed to get through to a Tier 2 officer... and unbelievably, they confirmed we had officially been approved as of yesterday! I can't describe how happy I am after 156 days of waiting, to finally be told it's been approved is such a relief.

 

One word of advice. If you're in or around the dates I mentioned above, try and call USCIS. The app trackers that people use and the USCIS website may not updated for a days, even a week, to say it has been approved. Our case is still 'received', but we have had confirmation of approval from a Tier 2.

 

We are planning to speak to our lawyer this weekend to gauge expected time, now I've been approved, to interview and visa issuance. I have a 4 week notice period at work which I need to time just right! Hoping to be there for late November, but I fear that may be a push.

 

Finally, thank you to all of you active posters for your words of encouragement, support and positiity. Whilst I have not actively posted my appreciation, I truly am grateful to be able to share this experience with you all and to feel like I am not alone.

Ox91 - congratulations!!  We have the same dates as you, so I've been following Shoegum's posts daily and the app daily, but how do you speak to a Tier 2 person at the USCIS?  Do you need to request to speak to someone in particular?

called customer service and they said they had no additional information on whether or not the offices will be processing cases on Monday for Columbus day. also no updates on our case .
