Hello,

was just wondering how long does it take for my application to reach the California service center after it was sent with Fed Ex? They signed for it yesterday, also i didnt get an email or text.

Thanks and Good Luck to everyone.

USCIS in Texas just signed for it yesterday, they have to scan your paperwork, make sure it's the right version, make sure the payment is the right amount, etc. before they send it to CSC. You will get your text/email once they do this and cash your check or money order. Receiving the text can take 2-4 business days. Hardcopy can take 5-7 business days.

Make sure to update your timeline with the correct dates of when you sent it and so forth. That will give you a better estimate down the road. Based on them receiving it yesterday (June 5th), you will be considered a June filer.

Ohh I see,  I didn't know they check to make sure right there, that"s good. Thank you for always replying you are a big help. Much appreciated! :)

Yes, they check before because if things are not correct, they will send the packet back with the payment which is good so that people are not trying to come up with another $535.00 when they resubmit it. Plus, the documents get scanned and barcoded before they are sent to CSC. If they signed for it yesterday, I would say you will received your text/email no later than Thursday...Friday at most!

Ohh okayy makes sense, one last question will the case number be provided in the California Service Center, or is the date received the day they check the paperwork before sending it off?

When you get your text/email, you will get the case#. Each service center starts off based off their location. CSC cases start off with WAC#. So, you don't have one yet.

No problem. I will follow your timeline and if you like you can follow mine.

I had planned on going back the weekend of July 4th; but I might have to push it back to the end of July which is during the Emancipation Week when they have all their celebrations/parties. Then the next time would be for his interview.

What part of Jamaica is your fiance from?

Hello!  my fiance is also Jamaican and is from St. Mary.  We met past year while I was on vacation in MoBay as he used to work there.  I had never been to Ochi before so in February we spent 12 days in that area and I fell in love.  No tourist stuff, just spent time with his friends up in Content Retreat, went to the river and swam, drank rum and had curry chicken.  He made THE BEST food every day (we got a little airbnb on the beach in Ochi town center) like akee and salt fish, coconut rice and brown stew chicken.....  I've been practicing his techniques on my friends and so far the reviews have been good!  I was just i JAI last month and am hoping to go back in August but the flights are so expensive.  We are April filers but it's great to see other women on here that also found their love in Jamaica.  Best of luck to you both!

Hello and congrats to you and your fiancé and good luck on your journey! We're right behind you so I'm gonna follow your timeline and I might be hitting you up later to find out how the medical and interview went if you don't mind. When you get a chance, create your timeline so you can get estimates on your upcoming dates and so others (like myself) can follow your story!

My love story started the same way yours did and I pray we both have a beautiful ending! Good Luck Again!:D

Yes, totally!  We hired an attorney to help us because I was so freaked out about the process and messing something up.  I know once we get to the next step there will be lots of gray area for me so it'll be nice to have a professional help us along.  When you filed your paperwork, did he send everything to you and have you file?  That's what we did but it took forever to get it here in CA.  Wondering what mail/delivery service you used (if any).  We're gonna have to find a better way to get things here because after all the time it takes for this process, the last thing I want to do is add to the agony because of the mail system!

I actually FedEx'd our packet from Montego Bay FedEx Center. I did overnight priority and it was delivered the next day. So, I actually was there in Jamaica visiting and had him sign the documents he needed to do. I would recommend using FedEx if you're gonna do future shipping to your fiance. It cost $40.00 just to give you an understanding on how much overnight cost.

Because I will attending his interview, I will be bringing down the documents that he needs from me for the interview. But, if something comes up and I can't make it (which would have something REALLY MAJOR because I definitely gonna be there), then I will send it FedEx overnight priority.

Do you know if your fiance used a personal check for the fee and if so, did they cash the check? If they did, then that would mean they accepted your petition. So have your fiance check if the payment has been accepted. Also, did they keep the pictures or return them to you?

USCIS doesn't accept photo albums. The pictures were suppose to go in a Ziploc bag or taped to a photo sheet and attached to the petition. It makes it easier for them to scan and send for review.

Hey! He used a Money Order. They didn't keep our photos. I am kind of confused cause we haven't received noa1 :(
