It was in response to someone who could not remember the name of the "big mall" in Manila, but he was discussing having items shipped there (I forget the name of the company in the mall), and my fiancé wants me to mail her items there for the next step after NOA2. My other mail never makes it to her residence due to theft or just getting lost. I have been successful with Fed Ex to the Mall of Asia...works every time. My princess is from Davao but lives in Manila now.....how about your fiancé, she in Manila?

Im curious how to get stuff there also

She lives in Mabini

Ive heard DHL, but gotta find something closer for her, manila to far

Im hoping for some place in Batangas

I know I didn't ask this but ohh this is good, thank you!

Is this supposed to be filled out by the petitioner or the beneficiary?

DS - 160 is the visa applicants or beneficiaries responsibility however the petitioner may also log on to help fill it out.

Only requirement is that at the end there is a "submit" button to sign the  on-line document and legally the foreigner is the only one who can click on it.

Looks like there are definitely cases that are approved however online status has not updated. You are the second person so far who's approved but status not updated.

You don't see them on VJ because not every May filer is a VJ member. There are over 4000+ applications for May but VJ has less than 500 members that are May filers.

And as I said, I could be wrong, I don't work for USCIS nor do I have the inside track on what goes on in that building; however, VJ is not a factual source for information when it comes to true and accurate timeframes or timelines, as it is solely comprised from active VJ members who ACTIVELY update their timelines and update it with the correct information, hence why timelines change every day either backward or forward. VJ also goes by notice date, USCIS goes by received date. VJ provides estimates based on what we put into the site.

Yes, 60% to 70% of my Aprilites got NOA2 but they are still March filers that have not gotten NOA2's or even RFE's. Matter of fact, a particular timeline I'm following is a March filer and she just got her RFE last week or so ago. Which again goes to what I'm saying...they are not reviewing in a straight ABC order. May cases have been distributed out for the adjudicators to review; it just comes down to how fast and experience that particular adjudicator is and how quickly a case can be approved. And most likely, the cases that don't require a lot of time or the ones that come from low-risk countries, and other specific review criteria etc., are the ones that get approved much quicker.

I work in Anti-Money Laundering Industry and have case reviews daily and we follow similar high-risk/low-risk parameters when reviewing our cases and we are in a backlog of our own and if we don't get our caseload down by certain threshold, we have to answer to that to avoid a possible fine.

Trust me, they do go by the "aged" date, yes....but after that, they go by other parameters too, just to make sure they are showing progress in their numbers.

@Trinab80 This should be a pinned or top thread post. Well said.

Thanks!!!!

Steven

Awww thanks so much!!!

I'm only trying to share some insight on how a productivity-based environment operates. It's always comes down to the numbers.

If things really went in order solely based case numbers, it would affect their case closure rate which then affects the WHOLE process because USCIS answers to a higher authority. They government will lose out on money if they don't stay within a particular threshold which is why they have 6 months to review the petition before it expires. If that happens many future applicants will choose the spousal visa which is cheaper in the long run.

THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT GONNA LET THAT HAPPEN!!!

First time posting on here, but I've been watching the thread for signs of hope :rolleyes:I'm the beneficiary from the U.K. I've got the point where I feel I'm going absolutely bonkers MAD! My spare time is occupied by checking the status, scrolling on this thread, and waiting... it's driving me crazy!

We have a May 11th NOA1. Most frustrating part is we sent our package off almost 3 weeks before the notice date. So it's feeling EXTRA long for me. My fiancé is due to come over for thanksgiving, and I really really hope I'll be able to go home with him.

We have been in touch with Tier2 workers, who haven't been particularly helpful, apart from the last time they called. They said it should be very fast for the U.K. as it's all electronic, and it's been the total opposite! Maybe she was trying to pass the blame or maybe there is something wrong?! Who knows

anyway, wishing everyone a very speedy process from here on!!

Holly

Welcome welcome!! Totally in the same boat my dear, I am the beneficiary here in the UK too and most of this process I feel my sanity sapping away! Bonkers is exactly the right word.

My receive date is 10th May so we are about the same timeframes, sorry about the 3 week wait, how very frustrating.

Best of luck to you and your fiance, I am rather hoping for Thanksgiving too or at least before Christmas to over there for good (L) (I am not sure what this emoji is for - but I like the stomp!)

about 3 Hours into working hours in California, and don't see any approvals on the scan. Hopefully it is just the case status not updating online and they are actually approving May cases!.

Only change today so far.

I just reviewed your case number on the IPHONE/IOS app and it still says "Case received" so odd how some find out from papers NOA 2 and others from the App.

Great way to start your week. Congrats again! :dancing:

My Android App has not made a peep and it's already Noon for CSC.

I have a stupid question (I think I may know the answer but just want to confirm)...

My fiancé and I tentatively, going to get on December 30, 2017 (as long as I receive the NOA2 before December....ha). Anyway, when I file my taxes next year, would I change my status to "Married" or keep it as "Head of Household" since technically he and I will only be married for 2 days in this year?

I don't believe I can claim in as dependent, so I should be able to file my taxes with the same status for the last time and then next year change it to married, correct?

Normally when filling taxes the question is if you were married on or before date of December 31st so I think even if you get married 1 day before new year you can file as Married.
