Day 150 from received date for us today... so I called USCIS first thing this morning.  The Tier 1 person was very nice and I played dumb ("is there anyone that I can possibly speak to that might have that information?") which got me instantly transferred to the Tier 2 area; I left my phone number on the automated Tier 2 line and was called back about 20 minutes later.  The best way that I can describe the Tier 2 person who called me back is completely devoid of personality... sigh.  Basically, I received the same lines that everyone is hearing:  nothing written on my case except that it was received; they're working on March 1st; due to the workload, it could be another 2 months but there are no guarantees, etc.  I'm not in a good place today, like most of us who are stressed out by this waiting process but there's nothing that I can do but wait more... and more... :(

We also called yesterday to USCIS. Yesterday an officer from New York called us who had never seen our case, he could not help us, except that he called the date for processing petitions on March 1)  Today we call again and call center from Kansas call us back. When i ask to be conected to California tier 2 officer they say it does not work this way.

I wanted to ask, WHY did he call us????

It's possible that they were saying that you can not be connected to a tier 2 person in a particular state... I think that you just get connected to tier 2 wherever they might be and they all have access to the same information.  I followed another forum person's advice by asking the tier 1 person questions that I knew they couldn't answer (has the background check been done, the name check been done?) and, when they couldn't answer those questions, I asked if there was someone I could talk to that might be able to answer them.  That's how I was able to get to tier 2 which was, unfortunately, as unhelpful as tier 1...

Fully appears that May filers will finally start receiving E-Notices and truly begin showing progress in 5 more days.

However, Congratulations to all  the April filers who are in May I-129F forum, allowing us to know May will finally start receiving Noa2's soon!

:pop:

By "filers" you are interpreting that as saying mailed in the month of May?  Most people here consider themselves a May filer if they have a received date of of May.

It is true that the majority of approval of early May cases for members here on VJ were actually mailed in April but there are already some non-expedite early May received dates that were mailed in April and already have NOA 2's issued.  @Alisa_ comes to mind. Not much activity again today on the app but the day is still young not even 10 am yet at CSC.

Good luck to us all.

I don't know where you all are getting your info, but this here shows there were TEN approvals yesterday!!! All may filers. One was a may 11th filer, which was my NOA 1 date. So we're getting close 😁😁😁

Again, my scans are based on receive date, those are NOA1 dates, which most of those have NOA1 early May 1st or 2nd which probably have a receive date of end of april.  The 5/11 NOA1 should have a receive date of May, its possible that one was approved after I ran the scan. However it is good news End of April cases are getting approved and May.:) My Scan range is only for cases received in month of May.

Are you going by noa1 notice date or received date as USCIS go by recieved date

From the very beginning people were instructed to input the NOA 1 Date, the actual (notice date) from the Form I-797C/NOA 1 into their VJ timelines.

The USCIS app and website https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do  goes by the (received date) which is also listed on the Form I-797c/NOA 1.

I think VJ admins need to consider changing this.

When people input their timelines they should use the (received date) that way there will be much less confusion.

VJ / IGORS list should be using what USCIS goes by because obviously USCIS will not change to conform to VJ wishes. LOL

I'm not saying people should change it now as it is obviously not my call to make but whoever runs this forum should consider it unless there is some other reason

why they think the (Notice Date) is a better option.

Any one else have thoughts on this matter?

Not sure why, would be a simple change to change text from NOA1 to Receive date, however would mess up old data.

I think maybe adding receive date option also would be the best way, not sure who runs these forums.

Also does anyone have up to date procedure for what we should do after getting NOA2 or should be doing to get ahead of the game to speed things up after NOA2. I remember reading calling NVC after approval to get the case number or something.

I need some advice,

We want to start preparing for the approval / interview.

What should we do first, the d160 form? Is it a good time to do the background check, or should we wait for that? What all do we need to start doing now?

You have plenty that you can do. Before we got the approval, we did a checklist with the docs I will need for interview.

So I already had his taxes transcripts and W2, pay stubs (waiting to add the last ones before the interview), proof that we continue our relationship after we filed (so screenshots of chats, video calls, etc), I made sure I had all the vaccinations I need.

We got our noa2 on monday, and now we have the letter from his job, bank statements, new letter of intent to marry, and going to start the DS and the financial support form today. Hopefully we will have everything for when we get our NVC number.
