Hello My Fellow May Filers,

I just wanted to say that today is JUNE 1ST....meaning, we have entered into a new month which leaves HOPEFULLY, leaves us, 1 1/2-2 months left before we're up next in queue for approvals!!!!

To those that haven't done so already, don't forget to create your timeline and update it as you go through your journey. It helps with the estimated processing times, but also so that we stay more connected since we are all on the same journey to being with our love ones for the rest of our lives. Looking into the other forums, I can definitely say that support will be needed by each of us as we get close to our processing month!

Hopefully (and I pray every day that does happen), that some magic will sprinkle down on USCIS, and things will speed up like they once were before, you never know!!!

But until then, just wanted to say that we're a month closer than where we were yesterday!!! :D

Have a good day/good evening to everyone!

Hello, we filed our application on May 25 although my fiancee sent it to the USPS address given on the website but she sent it thru FedEx. Is this a problem? Someone did sign for it, yet we haven't received a text message nor email saying it will be transferred. Please let me know. Thank you and Good Luck to everyone!

Just so I know what you're saying. Your fiancé sent the package using FedEx, but listed the P.O. Box address that is to be for USPS?

If that is what happened, it is a possibility that it might be sent to the USPS in Texas for delivery to the P.O. Box because if it was sent via FedEx, it would require signature, but there's no one to sign for it at the P.O. Box location.

I would recommend either you or your fiancé calling FedEx to check the status of delivery and inform them of the mix up. It's quite possible that if the error is caught in time it can be fixed or they might just tell you that they're either sending back to your fiancé or sent it to USPS in the local area for delivery to the P.O. Box. But definitely call them to track the status of your package.

Thank you. Yes she sent it to the PO BOX address for USCIS. So who would of signed for it? Will it be lost? Thank you for replying. I didnt think it would be an issue if someone signed for it. But I will have her call.

No one would sign for it at the P.O. Box. It would just be put in the P.O. Box owned by USCIS and someone would go to USPS office and pick up the packages. That is the reason why there are 2 different addresses, one for regular mail via USPS and the other for signature required by FedEx or USPS. The physical address is where it gets signed for.

Don't panic. You guys sent it in May 25th. One or two or maybe things can be happening at this point...1) they will send it back to your fiancé; 2) they sent the package to the local USPS in Lewisville, TX for regular mail to the P.O. Box. Did she get a tracking# from FedEx to track it? You can go on FedEx.com and enter in the tracking# to see where it is, but I think the best thing to do at this point to just call. It's a simple fix!

USCIS wasn't who signed for it the local postal office did.

OP sent it to the PO Box using FedEx. FedEx isn't gonna deliver it to the PO BOX. At most they will give it to the local post office so that they can deliver it to the PO Box.

I never received my form I-197 in the mail, just the text and email confirmations for NOA1.

I changed my mailing and physical address online as I have moved, does anyone know if this delays processing time or causes RFE?
