Indeed.  This was taking too long and I couldn't go much longer without feeling her touch.  I have been very lucky with airfares as I have never paid more than $525 roundtrip.  December will be my 4th visit this year.  It sounds like a lot but it feels like I have never visited.  I can't wait to be with her everyday.

I looked at fares just from Seattle to Philippines in December well over $1K  :(

$525 is incredible from Chicago area if that is where you are from.

I normally pay $550 to $750 depending upon time of year on EVA

Just for fun, look at a cheap flight to Chicago then Chicago to Manila.  I'm seeing flights in the $700 range from Chicago.  December is a pricey month.

I use EVA out of Houston.  Most I've paid is $750 round trip.  I hope December isn't over $1000 roundtrip because I'll need to buy her a ticket as well to return with me (hoping all can be finished in December).  I really hope all of us in May can be done by year end!!!

I wish you luck.  Appointments are tough to get in December in Manila.  The holidays slow everyone down.  I've heard of interviews as quick as 45 days after NOA2.  I hope you make it.  We love to see any success stories.  I'm a June filer and I anticipate a February POE.  We have to schedule the CFO peer counseling after the kids get their visa stamps.  That can push us back a month.

For some reason flights from Chicago are cheap!  A couple people here found that flying to Chicago then then to Asia have them hundreds of dollars!!!  One flew from San Francisco and left for Manila out of Chicago for $200 less than the flight from San Francisco to Manila!

Ill look into that

I go from phoenix, that stops in la, nothing direct

There is nothing direct to Manila from Chicago.  I go from Chicago to Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo, Incheon or Kuala Lumper  as stopovers.

Yep, it's not perfect and adds to an already long travel day.  It depends on how much can be saved.  I'm not sure I would add a few hours to my day to save $200 but for $500 it may be worth looking at.  The lowest price I've seen is $299 RT Chicago/Manila.  I couldn't do it at the time.

I hope I can get a December appointment.  Spent last Christmas apart.  I'm hoping to do the CFO part between the medical and interview and just get the stamps after the interview is over.  I have a feeling I'm looking very optimistic at this and thinking everything will go perfectly smooth.  I'm hoping for the 45 day interview after NOA2.  Would be about mid December and be perfect.
