Wouldn't worry too much about Federal Holidays.  There's a huge backlog of USCIS applications and I'm sure that OT is an option for many.  Showing up on a holiday may not just get the DHS employee OT, but potentially comp-time as well!

When we submitted our K-1 application, it was over a three day weekend and we received notice over that same weekend...  Submitted by the weekend, and logged that weekend!

Okay, I can live with that :) Just hard to stay positive on some days....

Anyupdates for May filers today?

No May updates and just one lonely 9/22 approval BUT congrats to them.

They are from you guessed it Philippines.

Doesn't seem to be a vocal member her though.

Hopefully at LEAST 1 or 2 more get added tonight. Far from our normal 5 approvals a day from CSC.

Tomorrow will be day 150 for my fiance. Should I call the senator's office to speed things up or wait?

Hi, the USCIS actually goes by the NOA 1 date not by the sent date so he will be around the 145 day mark.

https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html?m1=5&d1=1&y1=2017&m2=9&d2=22&y2=2017

USCIS just started on May 1st the other day.

Maybe by the time your Senator gets the ball rolling enough time will have past for USCIS actually look into it rather than to just give the standard answer.

Can't hurt. Let us know how it goes.

Hey! Long time follower, but never posted and wanted to say I appreciate this community! I’m the petitioner for my Lebanese fiancé. Luckily, I’m visiting Lebanon right now and get to spend time with him while we wait. Any other Lebanese filers?

Best of luck to everyone, and I’d love to meet up with anyone in the Boston area to commiserate when I’m back in November!

Hello to everybody, we filed in May with my fiancé. I am from France. Our receive date is May 3rd and our notice day May 5th. We should hear back next week hopefully... I am getting really impatient and depressed to be honest :(

My fiance calls USCIS once in a while to ask about our case, since they do not always update the online tracker.

A woman on a K1 visa Facebook group said that one day she called and the tier 1 agent said her petition was received but when she spoke with a tier 2 the same day, she was told that her petition was approved...

So I don’t really know what to do to ask about the “real status” of my case (and don’t feel like waiting for the letter to find out lol).... What do you guys suggest? Those who were approved, how did you find out?

Thank you and good luck to everybody. Sending positive vibes for our petitions to be approved soon.

Welcome.  We, also, have a May 3 receive date of the physical NOA1 but USCIS seems to be going by their receive date of May 1.  Waiting is hard, very frustrating, and depression is unavoidable... but, unfortunately, it's all we can do.  I can only say that it seems likely that we will all hear something very soon... hopefully this week.  Wishing you the best... :)
