Oh shoot, I just looked at the calendar for October and see there is a federal holiday on the 9th. Most government offices close for this holiday (Columbus Day). Is it my imagination or has there been fewer approvals in general this week?...AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Sorry, just had to yell a bit, I feel better now :) Need to do Yoga tonight...

Yeah, I'll buy. Misery loves company....and the weather is really nice here now. I would love to sit with another May filer and talk #######....HEE HEE....Like me, your fiancé is far, far away and is not allowed to visit us here. I am trying to hold off going back the Philippines again. With my luck, we would get an RFE or something like that while I was over there. Have a good weekend and hang in there....

Hi, I'm new to the thread.  I show my packet was received May 26th.  Now I've been doing the waiting game for 119 days now.  Anyone from May had any response at all yet?  Anyone have any idea how many days it's taking?  I'm now growing impatient like everyone else, lol!  I see why so few people even make the waiting period to actually get to the consulate interview!  Hope to talk with y'all.  BTW, I'm in Houston fiancée is in Philippines if anyone else here is in Houston.  Have a good day!  Best of luck to all!

Wow!  So at least another 25-30 days for me then!  I was guessing end of October based on what I'm seeing.  Mine went to California (been told that's only location now for them).  They use to be 3.5 - 4 months processing there so I was excited about it at first.

Maybe, maybe not... the one thing that I've learned in this process is that nothing is predictable.  There appears to be little rhyme or reason to how some cases are chosen sooner than others.  The best I can tell you is to hang in there... it's not easy and it will test your relationship but, always... always, keep your eye on the prize... :)

Thanks!  I keep hanging in there.  Just can't believe we pay so much and they can't handle all the requests within a few days.  It's amazing how many people are going overseas for love yet anyone who hasn't done it can't understand why we do it.  I get so many questions from friends and coworkers.  Even my family doesn't understand why.  I wish y'all the best and hope all of us in May can be finished in October and start getting interviews set up before year end!

Seems like akot if us have Philippines fiances. Yes the wait sucks. I wish i could say it gets easier but each day seems harder. We are day 129 as of now. Seems like all has came to a stand still. I know after NOA 2 is done all speeds up.

Wouldn't worry too much about Federal Holidays.  There's a huge backlog of USCIS applications and I'm sure that OT is an option for many.  Showing up on a holiday may not just get the DHS employee OT, but potentially comp-time as well!

When we submitted our K-1 application, it was over a three day weekend and we received notice over that same weekend...  Submitted by the weekend, and logged that weekend!
