This may be true for the old form, but the new form and the accompanying instructions state otherwise.

Question 54 says to attach evidence of your meeting in person and to use Part 8 for additional room. The instructions for Part 8 says what I posted above and that everything needs to be signed and labeled and dated.

Also in the new instructions I don't see anything pertaining to what you wrote above in bold about pictures unless I missed it. Right now I think this site is out of date regarding the new form and how to fill it out properly.

The old form you used dies in less than a month. Please aware yourself of the new form's rules so you don't mistakenly misinform someone causing them to get an rfe

Please review the following link regarding how to prepare your K1 packet which this link can be found on tgis site in the immigration guides.

At the bottom you will see what is recommended by previous or veterans of this process on how to prepare your packet and what is recommended on how to label the pictures:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

If you've already sent in your packet and have done it to your preference and followed the instructions, then you should be fine.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

I guess we'll see! In the new instructions it says to attach evidence in part 8 and then sign and date as in the pic I posted before. I printed my pictures and captions on high quality paper with captions, and labeled everything as evidence pertaining to question 54 and signed and dated them like it said to. I also did this with every photocopy of my visas, lease, passport stamps, etc. I could be wrong, but it is a new form.

Well, I'm sure no one is going to get an RFE for not doing that, new form or not. I see it as a matter of interpretation and as long as you are happy with how you read and understand instructions then everything is fine.

Good luck everyone!

Heroine if you don't mind. After recently being addressed as 'Sir' around here, I'm seriously starting to question my gender identity :P But let's face it, you only say that because we are fellow Spaniard beneficiaries :) And considering the time here, we should call it a night (well, I should at least).

One day closer, May fillers :)

My case has been received, NOA1 received and transferred to California so I'm good  (: the g235a forms were not that ugly to me. I'd rather do those than an additional 7 pages lol. Also my i129F did not require his signature.

Right the I-129F never required the foreigners signature but if you send in the OLD I-129F then the signature is needed on the G-325A. There might be 7 more pages but it's pretty much the same info that was on the GS-325A just more spread out. Congrats on the NOA 1. Hunker down for at least another 90 days.

First notice I have about this... of course I knew we had to sign all letters and forms and we did that. But photos too? And chat screenshots? ####### it seems unnecessary. I've read that they need to be dated, but I've never seen that they also need to be signed. I have already sent the package, I received NOA1, so I can't fix that right now.  I suppose I have to wait for a RFE ...

I've had a prior K-1 and never signed or put any names on the back of any photos other than the passport photos. I never signed any receipts, or screen shots and it was approved.

You just need to sign any letters or statements that you send it.

Don't worry about an RFE at this point.

The bold statement above is inaccurate. The speed of USCIS has nothing to do with them sending the old form back. The 12/23/2016 is the only version that's being accepted until June 9th so other predated versions are being sent back. The postmark date that is on the package is what they go by. It works the same when they changed the fee back in December. If the postmark date was before the change date, it will be accepted.

And the "ugly" g-325a is the same information that now makes the new K1 petition an additional 7 pages. So, while it will make it more convenient and eco-friendly after June 9th, its all the same information being submitted.

By up to speed I mean knowledge/training wise as in early on after the new form came out there were members here on this board who sent in the old but still usable 12/23/2016 form yet it was rejected by the lock box employees as they were not aware or did not read the instructions that the form was still valid. This doesn't seem to be an issue anymore as I haven't seen any post lately about rejected forms dated 12/23/2016.

Hi All! We submitted our application on May 12, 2017 and received our NOA1 on May 16th, 2017.  I am eagerly awaiting our NOA2!

In the meantime, I was thinking of getting my criminal background check in order.  I read on the local police website that it can take up to 4 weeks and I want to be prepared! Hope it's not too early to do so. I read somewhere that they are good for 6 months.

Anyway, good luck everyone!  Can't wait to follow along on your journeys!

I know it's too early to start worrying and this whole process is definitely about having or gaining patience, but I'm starting to get concerned. My package was signed for on Tuesday at 10:22am, but I haven't received anything that it has been accepted and my personal check hasn't been cashed. I know it can take 7-10 days to get a NOA1 but I've been watching my bank account like a hawk figuring if they cash my check, that would be a good sign that they've accepted our petition.

Seems like there are ones who received their notifications in 4 days. Ugh...the struggle is real!
