I don't know about your Taiwan policy clearance, but do you need it for beneficiary's interview? If so, six week doesn't sound THAT bad to me....  Cuz you probably will receive your NOA2 in a week or two. Then about another three weeks for your beneficiary to receive the package go get ready for the interview. Approximate total is gonna be five or six weeks from now until your beneficiary receive the package.

When we applied for this visa, we were expecting I could enter the states beginning of November but this long waiting game was a big unwanted surprise for me and my fiancee in the states. But all we can do is wait, it's so frustrating though. We stay positive and are trying to make ourselves feel everything is gonna be fine. Time will go faster than we think, here's another day with bunch of approvals!

She worked there 1 year ago, so she needs it before we can make appt for interview, 6 weeks takes it into nov, the make appt for interview, 3 week wait, now its end nov, then try find flights, its gonna b crazy $$$$$$$

I don't know. To be honest, I was REALLY expecting to hear something from USCIS this week. Even a RFE, I wouldn't mind at all. Now, since they were super slow after July and there are still March and April filers waiting, I think I may hear something next week or the other. In my opinion, the average waiting will only increase from now on.. I'd say 160 days for May, and as the end of the year is closer, probably close to 6 months for later filers :( when we started to fill the forms in march/April we thought we would have it in 3 months max. Oh the innocence! Lol

Ha exactly.

Well a bit of good news. The apps don't seem to be updating so far BUT people are getting notices of approvals

The daily average of 5 including one approved RFE has been met for 9/20.

Hopefully more to come.

Maybe the CSC Zumba Wednesday was cut short there in Cali.

The other good thing is there was another 4/27 NOA 1 approved in the batch today.

All good here pal, just busy with work! My Pinay princess is getting restless tho lol. She does not have the patience I do. But we just continue to have faith and let God do the rest. I just know as each day passes it is one day closer. At this point I am hoping she will be here for Christmas. I couldn't ask for a better xmas present. Hows things going for you?

I bet the government workers would move more quickly if their pay was tied to how many cases they process. They have no incentive to move quickly.  I have worked for the Federal and Florida State government and had to leave do to the culture of mediocrity and apathy. That is what we are facing. The processors get paid regardless of how fast or thorough they are. They have no skin in the game....shoot, I hope they don't read this and deny me and my lovely pina princess :)

I'm a former Fed worker and I would have to disagree immensely at least the Agency I worked for (Non- DOD) most of the employees took their job very seriously and did outstanding work with limited budget and resources. The folks working our petitions and the people answering the USCIS hotline are all NON-Government employees. They are contract workers and they are held accountable for number of cases that they work.

Another member posted a day to day activity log of what goes on as a contracted case adjudicator . As you can imagine it is a literal mountain of papers they have to deal with and that is part of the reason they are insulated from the call center folks otherwise they would spend all their time on the phones and none working cases. I just mentioned that they have Zumba Wednesday's as a light hearted joke. I imagine they are doing the best they can. They are directed by the USCIS which types of cases to focus on at any given time. The fee increases also added to the surge of case work plus the change in political climate all resulted in the perfect storm for a massive back-log which has nearly doubled the past average yearly wait times of 90 days for I-129F approval.

On the plus side I highly doubt they read this forum as probably the last thing they want to think about when they get home haha

I guess our experiences are quite different. As a psychologist, I have worked with government workers from the DOD to Post Office and nearly all complain about red tape, the inefficiency, and lack of incentive to go "above and beyond." That was my experience also (I worked in a State prison and was also in the US Army). If an employee was a "star" they were told to slow down "as we don't want the higher ups to expect all of us to meet that productivity." No lie, we had a new dentist in the prison that was very productive and got "slapped down" by his supervisor and peers. So in sum, I guess it depends where one works in the government. But 5 approvals per day appears to be quite slow...and my comment about them reading this post was a joke. This would be the last place I would look after working all day on K1 visa files.

Oh for sure I agree with what you are saying about Red Tape , inefficient processes that is a major issue with the Feds many of the employees are excellent at their job inspite of the interference by management. Hhaha yeah I knew you were joking about them reading here.

:clock: mean while.
