I dont know if this reliable or something i just made some research because they say that vermont service centers are the fastest on k1 petitions i am wondering why our papers ended up with california from TX when infact new york is covered by vermont centers? vermnt is already in June now

Hello, I believe that recently they began transferring all K1 visas to the California service center rather than it being based regionally, this is likely a contributing factor to the increased delay in receiving NOA2. Hopefully you will hear something soon!

He may have had their case expedited. Is he in the military and on active duty or will be deployed soon? There are criterias that has to be met in order to have the case expedited, BUT DEFINITELY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING WITH RAPIDVISA.

Rapid Visa and/or immigration lawyers do not have any power to expedite cases and have the papers processed faster than others.

Good day everyone.I am a may filer. We had NOA1 on first of June.Waiting like all of you NOA2.Does is make any difference if for example the petitioner is in the military?

Thank you and god bless.

Hello all:

I filed an expedite request with my congressional unit shortly after my NOA1 (may12). Since making the request, my congressional office has been incredible unresponsive with my status inquiries. Tier 2 officers at USCIS told me that their system says the congressional request has been "pending." I asked if I could assume that meant it has been rejected, they told me that if it were to be rejected it should state as such in the system. I called USCIS to make sure that my application is in the normal "may" processing pile. they told me that because of the congressional  inquiry, my file HAS BEEN REMOVED COMPLETELY from the USICS application pool and that it is in the congressional units hands.  I am not sure if this is totally true because this information is in conflict with a earlier statement from a tier 2 officer who told me that I was in the normal processing time. nevertheless, I requested the tier 2 officer to put in a service request to figure out where my application is.  Contacting my congressional district has been useless as they rarely respond to any of my inquires, and when they do they just tell me vaguely that they are working on it and that we have to wait and see.

If anyone has any insights to offer, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you May filers

Yes I thought they was good for 1 year like someone else said

My attorney told me to wait for the NBI and COC , He said when you receive the packet they will inform you of what they need. As for the Coc from Singapore the attorney told me it is a 50-50 chance we will need that, depending on the officer handling the case. So I am just going to wait on the Noa2 and then packet.

Congressional help is complicated... they received hundreds of request and as per I was being told by someone who works with the Immigration dept at my local congressional office she said they have a huge room with requests and they take 5 a day or 5 per week depending on their capacity. Currently they are giving priority to daca or deportation cases...

So figures...

She got it already so did not know if it was any good.  I hope those packets do not take long. If we are correct on the 140 to 150 daya we will push for christmas still. We looked today and can be done with the rest in 35 to 40 days. She wjll stay in Manila with family after medical to interview so we will push. I told her winter will be brutal for her lol

Do you know where you heard the from? was it in one of the forums here?

I believe my application is in the congressional units hands and I don't really know what to expect as far a timing goes.
