Day 137 here...was also thinking about calling next week...how do one submit a congressional inquiry?

You'll need to find the US Senator for your state. Two links below:

https://bebusinessed.com/congress-fax-numbers/

https://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

A privacy release form will need to be filled out so the Senators office can contact USCIS on your behalf. I'm thinking of sending mine at day 150 if I don't hear anything.

So actually when my fiance called them 2 days ago they said our case is pending and that they start working on each case since the NOA1 date. No signs of RFE but we have to wait...They said also CSC is overloaded with cases since all of them were transferred there.

And yes I am checking our status several times a day :D

Good luck to you too! Seeing Croatia in the forum warmed my heart. We are both with my fiance born in Bulgaria. ;)

Oh, really! Wow, haven't seen a single Croatian person commenting ANYWHERE yet! :) Nice to sorta meet you! :)

I hope you get your approval soon!

I've done this process before and I have never seen TOUCHED anywhere on the USCIS website page. Do you see that? Can you send a screen shot if you do?

May will likely start getting worked later next week.

Today there have been ZERO approvals for any VJ members. 9/12 also had ZERO approvals.

Still have a few hours left in the work day at CSC though.

Oh, sorry, I read that term somewhere on the forum so I thought it was a frequently used one. It's the LAST UPDATED date when you check your status, and it basically means someone was doing something for your case, even though it doesn't necessarily mean you're any closer to being approved. That's what I read in one of the threads, I apologize if the info isn't 100% correct.

Mine for example still shows the date my petition was received, and hasn't been updated since, so I believe my case is currently sitting in a box. Which makes sense since I filed in August. :) I was just wondering if May petitions are already being worked on, that's why I asked.

With 2 approvals and an RFE yesterday you gotta be getting close to your approval though! Good luck! :)

Can the sentor office do any good? I dont want to do anything to hurt our case

It seems to have helped recent April filers. I'd recommend contacting as a last resort - if you've contacted USCIS and gotten no information on your case, if your case seems to be left behind (cases after your received date are getting approved), or your case is outside the normal processing timeframe (6 months).

My fiancé hasn't contacted USCIS yet, so next week he is going to call and attempt to get information. Hoping we don't have to involve a senator!

Yeah its very discouraging waiting this long for the NOA2.. I'm on day 143 since received and its driving me insane! But our time will come:)

I'm going to start calling USCIS next week and if I get no where I'll submit a congressional inquiry - those seem to help!

Please, let us know how calling USCIS goes!

Live, love, laugh.. and try not to think too much about USCIS

Thank you for the info. I hate to go through all that. I know we all are waiting and be nice to see some may filers moving.

I called yesterday. 142 days since received, 138 since NOA-1 today. Tier 2 said it would not be outside "normal processing time" for another 85 days.

I don't know but I think they must have decided to stop going through new cases( meaning may and the rest) and finish with all pending applications. From what an aprilite said once after calling USCIS it makes sense... They told him that cases are dispatched among adjudicators and some are faster than others. So if they were still going their own speed we should have already started to hear may filers getting approved... But we're not hearing nothing..soo...Thats my humble opinion

The official answer given by the Tier 2 was that they are only working on February cases and who am I to state otherwise. Once they publish the (overdue) quarterly stats (https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-all-uscis-application-and-petition-form-types) we might see what the holdup was/is. That being said, data from VJ shows the following:

I doubt you'll be waiting another 85 days… USCIS seems to be giving that line out because they probably don't know the exact timeframe. They seem to be super backlogged since March and playing major catch-up...

150 days seems to be the new normal. If you ever hit the 6 month mark contact your Senator!

This is why I discourage K1 visa filers to call USCIS and 'ask for an update'. They will not give you a proper answer.

When I called them for my work permit back in July, they told me that my field office here in Florida is only processing AOS for September 2016 WHICH IS A LIE as I just had my greencard application approved last month. I filed for AOS in April 2017.

They are not "that" reliable if you will ask them about timeline updates or which cases are they working on now.

Whatever response they provide only causes more stress than the whole 'waiting' itself.
