Is it normal for them to issue so many RFEs? How are they going to catch up?

I actually don't know because May is the first month we really have any data.

but I read an article about (although it was N400) the administration wants more scrutiny in petition stage so more rfes are sent. (I posted it somewhere here)

i have nooo idea how they're going to catch up..

i did something new though and trying to analyze it now.

because april looked like it still has sooooo many received cases, yet so little of them were actually touched; I looked at February and March cases, and the situation is same. However there are so little number of people left expecting noa2 without an rfe here in vj, and if anyone would take this long I'm sure most of them would already search and find a site like this and we would know.

so even though May looks like a huge bump now (and I know you guys are still waiting) I don't really think there's that much place for them to run around and not go to your cases. The number we are seeing is not the number they have left in their agenda.

So so don't worry about catching up, but aim for the date to change in that official processing times they show. And call. If they're rude, go above. This agency is 99% funded wiht this money. If they say you're too many, that should they have that much money!

I really feel for people who filed in June because it's even worse for them at this moment...At this snail pace I don't even know if they'll be done with May by the end of the year, but they'll certainly say they are.

I honestly wish there was something we could do about this

I don't know what anyone can do.

I'm not even angry with the workers in uscis, it's not their fault. But administrations and human resources (which they're also struggling) should think about a better way.

tier 1 is the most unnecessary part of whole this for example.

also if they give people legit information on what's going on they wouldn't have to go through with these stupid phone calls and save us from this anxiety.

Last but not least, they are doing 3 months at once now. This is to actually save a** it's obvious cause they need to report it as such.

Now I'm a beneficiary, for me this is not a right(not a privilege either - don't make me start on that) but for a USC- this is a right. Right to ask for it, right to petition and get information. Right to have their family beside them! We're not living in the world of capsulets and montagues for God's sake!

Sadly we do live in a world where money is valued more than family, as you can see...Even if a USC has the right to call they apparently don't get to the treated well either..I've said it before but I'd be able to deal with the waiting better if they were more transparent.

Yeah I'm the USC and I can tell you that they don't view this as my right, even though it 100% is and should be. I'm sure that they hide behind reasons of "national security" in terms of keeping us in the dark, but there's no reason for this IMO. For instance even if they were more transparent about why it's taking more time between the NOA2 and NVC received, I would feel some comfort in that.

Hey everyone!

I am here with the weeklies of this week!

A really Important thing that everyone should know.

The numbers are not low, they are just spread to 3 different months at once.

I am going to do a overall analysis tomorrow (I don't know why but I was too sleepy this whole day)

And show you how actually the numbers are still wayyyyyy better than what we thinks is happening..

Add around a 10 to these numbers

(when an rfe changes its status I only count the latest status... and yes yes I just realized I was doing it all the time...

So if I look too much in the past and an rfe for example became approved it looks like they touched less than they actually did.)

Weekly Overall

April      May     June    July    Aug     Sept      Oct    Total
2017/11/27 15 79 33         127
2017/11/28 39 157 33 2       231
2017/11/29 27 119 39   1     186
2017/11/30 12 47 49 2   2   112
2017/12/1 20 66 62       2 150
Total 113 468 216 4 1 2 2 806

Monthly Overall

April      May     June       July       Aug      Sept        Oct        Total
Approved 1865 1840 210 10 10 3   3938
Virgins 833 1123 3203 3293 3555 3218 3816 19041
Touched 629 1145 246 81 86 74 59 2320
Excluded 630 460 382 412 424 303 267 2878
Total 3957 4568 4041 3796 4075 3598 4142 28177

Thanks---your work has been so helpful. They are definitely making progress---just seems like they aren't when it's your own case they don't touch or approve. For the May filers out there whose cases remain untouched--I really hope USCIS gets through the bulk of them this upcoming week. The delay on them has been brutal. It's insane that they still have that many April cases left un-touched. Get some much needed rest.

Another week gone with no NOA2. Thought that this was the week just like the weeks before and no NOA2. Trying to fight being sad and depressed but I can't.

Looking at the calendar and just did the calculations. IF I get the NOA2 this week, with the NVC now also being in a backlog and it taking 6 weeks to get a case number, my fiance won't get an interview scheduled until FEBRUARY....FREAKING FEBRUARY!!! That will make this 9 whole months from beginning to end!!!! Only 3 months shy of a year, but again that's IF I get the NOA2 this week!!!! For every week that passes is a week taken away!!!

As I type this, the tears fall down my face and I keep saying to myself, "I should have did the spousal visa like we originally planned to do".

My family and friends look at me like I'm crazy to go through something like this. I fight against them trying to prove that he isn't the stereotype that others have built up in society.  But the US government makes it damn hard to fight those stigmas. They raised the fee and the process takes longer. My tax paying money is paying for tier 1 and tier 2 to get paid to do nothing because they have a pointless job! But yet the CSC and NVC are understaffed with ill-experienced employees. Again, my tax money going to waste!!!

Next Friday will be my 200th day and in my heart I feel I will lose another week with no approval!!!

It does feel like we were tricked sometimes when it comes to the processing times now..However there's nothing to be done about it now and I believe your time will come soon too!

It's really hard to be positive about this right now and I can tell you you're not the only one because most of us that haven't been approved feel something similar. This can't compare to what you're gonna feel once you're approved and together with your partner though! I'm sure by then it'll be behind you!

As for the judgement from family and friends...It might seem bad but they'll have nothing to tell you once you guys are together, so just keep thinking about that!

I really hope you get approved soon!
