Now that I have my EAD and Tennessee driver license, I barely think about my green card now. But yes, it'd be nice to have it. I have a similar NOA1 date as you, it just takes long. 


Have you been approved for you work authorization or did you petition for it? It helps a lot to be able to work and live more (at least it did for me)

Yes, I have my EAD. Still need my green card. I want to visit Jamaica. Even if I have my drivers license, still worry.

You have to find a congressman in your state and i believe you are in Florida...A good person to contact is Marco Rubio...He has worked with others on visa's. No you don't pay them for anything.  I have one working for me in North Carolina, but you have to choose one in your own state.  I wish you lots of luck in your quest for a visa!  If you choose not to use Rubio...google congressmen in your state and pick the one in your district, if possible...

AP is legit. I shouldn't worry about your green card unless they request evidence (and even then most of the time it's easy-peasy) Backlogs happen unfortunately and a lot of October filers are feeling that.

AP is perfectly fine to travel with. Not there fault you didn't apply for it. I don't mean it in a bad way but

you can't just get an expedite because you want to travel now. You can still apply for it with you NOA1 free if it will come 

before the GC can no one say.

I'm not blaming anyone. Lol. Just didn't apply for it. I know many people who traveled on it and have problems. When I called immigration and asked them about it, they said AP it's not a gaurantee to get back in the country.
