Married Names query

Hi guys,

So I arrived in New York last night on my K-1 visa. All went smoothly, border control were actually really friendly and helpful and Colin and I have our date set for our wedding in just under 3 weeks!

We have been planning to keep our individual surnames as we both work self-employed in theatre and have a back catalogue of work with our professional names. I wanted to check that this won't be a problem when applying for Adjustment of Status etc? Does it go against you if one of us hasn't taken the other's name? This may sound like a silly question, but I'm not wanting to take any chances.

Thanks in advance,

Harry

We both kept our names the same as before, also in a same-sex marriage. No issues on AOS, in fact I was just approved days ago without an interview.

Welcome to the United States!

I also kept my name.
