Hi,

Do any of you know if I should send an affivavit of support from my father in law with my I-751? My husband and I are still living with his parents and since we don't have house bills together, would it be good to send another affidavit of support t uscis to explain why we don't have house bills?? Or just an attached letter will work as an explanation?

Thanks!!

Lunnah,

It's not necessary to have house bills together. My wife and I don't. We submitted other evidence of our shared life - things that we do have to submit.

You have to show your life together, you do not have to explain why your life may be different from someone else's life.

Affidavit of support (the financial one, form I-864) is not needed at removal of conditions stage.

Affidavits from people who know you as a couple, attesting to your relationship, are optional and may be included if you wish. If used, they should be notarized.

If you feel your package of evidence as a whole is somewhat lacking, by all means include an affidavit (a notarized letter) from your father in law stating that the two of you live in his household.

"When all else fails, read the instructions."

Hey Yodrak, we have the same problem, my hubby pays most of the bills, I'm a little nervous about that 'cause I read all the time about people that send bills under the other person as a proof of the relationship. We are planning to send affidavits of support from 3 friends and hubby's father, health insurance and dental insurance documents pictures, tkts from our last vacation to Peru, statements of our credit card, the checking account and saving account is under hubby's name :crying: . You think that 'll be enough???

Thank you very much....
