What was with that weird reinterpretation of "All along the Watchtower"?

I guess Moore is a fan of Hendrix (yes I know its a Dylan song, but bare with me). Apparently the original plan for the 1st season finale was in the scene where Baltar and Six see the baby in the opera house, Baltar was supposed to meet "God" (or at least, the Cylon God) while Jimi Hendrix played in the background. God was to be played by Dirk Benedict!

This idea was dropped for being "too hokey". Which is why I'm not convinced they'll go along the Ship of Light path either!

I hope they don't bring back Patrick McNee either as Count Iblis - the "demonic tempter". That was a case of a good idea being ruined by terrible acting.

well, actually they never made it quite clear who the 5th Cylon is....

I thought it was the president but I am not 100% sure or maybe it is Starbuck

i think it was weird to tell us who 4 of them were all i one shot like that....

I'm pretty sure its Starbuck - seeing as her death the other week was pretty much inescapable, unless they're going to introduce some sort of "divine intervention" to complicate things.

Also there were 5 cylon baseships - which I don't think is a coincidence.

Tory's always been a little iffy, but the loyalties of Anders, Tigh and the Chief seemed beyond question, and they led the resistance on New Caprica. None of them were the usual suspects. Is there any sort of relationship between that sort of human loyalty and their Cylonity?

I don't know that it's directly connected. If you're asking if that was part of the plan to have them take that cover, then no. They're very much unaware of how they could be Cylons, they're confused by the knowledge, and they don't have an agenda. It's not the same as when Sharon was a Cylon—they haven't been to the Cylon parties. All they really know is they're Cylons. They have this revelation to themselves of what their true nature is, but beyond that they have no idea what the agenda is or if they have an agenda or how this could have happened. They're very much in the dark, much like the audience is.

And just because there will be debate, can you confirm that they are Cylons?

Yes, they're Cylons.

Will we meet the fifth Cylon eventually, and when?

Yes, I think we will eventually reveal the fifth Cylon. "When" is a tougher question to answer, because we haven't really decided ourselves.

And you won't tell us this if you know what's good for you, but have we met that Cylon before?

Of her father? No.

What does it mean for fans of the show that Katee and Tricia are both shooting pilots?

They are shooting pilots, but they're not going to be regulars on those shows, so it's nothing to worry about.

Another fan Q, from Terai80: "If and when they reach Earth, which Starbuck says she has done, would we see the survivors of the colonies interacting with the earthlings?"

I think it really depends when in our history they arrive, but that's one of the questions we're holding off on for now.

She's not necessarily the dying leader, but she's probably the dying leader. That'll be one of the issues that'll get wrestled over in the fourth season, and the prophecies, as we've seen, have a great deal of relevance to the people of Galactica. But at the same time, that doesn't mean every single one will come true or every single one is relevant to their story.

Here's a big one that I'm personally quite invested in. Kmags wants to know: "Will Roslin and Adama ever get together?" And I think she means in the traditional, make-out, slobber-all-over-each-other sense.

Uh...I don't think I'll answer that one.

I think we've started to suggest that some might have their own agendas. D'Anna certainly had her own agenda, and it ended up getting her boxed. I think there are divisions within the Cylon nation itself, and I think those divisions and fissures will only grow as the fourth season goes on.

You're not by chance reading from a press release, are you? We think of it essentially as two extra episodes, and it will not pick up directly from the huge cliffhanger we have at the end of season three with the revelations of Cylons and Starbuck. The extended episodes will essentially go back and tell a story about the Pegasus. We'll deal with events in the past that we've never shown before, but those two eps will also set up some things that will pay off in the fourth season.

Not really 2 episodes, but a straight to DVD movie that I believe will be shown on Sci-Fi also. Its supposedly is set in the past, telling the story of the Pegasus. The produces are talking about it as 2 episodes because to them producing a movie is much the same as producing a 2 parter.

My boyfriend is lucky enough to see it tomorrow since he's overseas. But sneaky devil I am , I look for spoilers and I am really looking forward to it when it comes to the states. David Tennant is so hot!

as anyone heard the latest about Battlestar Galatica??

The upcoming fourth season of Sci Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica" will be its final one after all.

After months of speculation, the show's producers are set to make the announcement at a press conference Friday.

Ending "Battlestar" with the upcoming 22-episode fourth season was a creative decision made by the hit show's executive producers Ronald Moore and David Eick.

"This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and, finally, an end," Eick and Moore said in a statement Thursday. "Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end, and we've decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms. And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there -- we're going out with a bang."

The fourth and final season of "Galactica" will kick off in November with "Razor," an extended two-hour episode, with the rest of the season slated to run beginning in early 2008.

Sci Fi executive vp original programming Mark Stern said the channel's brass "respect the producers' decision to end the series."

For months, Sci Fi had dispelled rumors about "Battlestar" ending its run after the fourth season.

A couple of weeks ago, one of the show's stars,

Edward James Olmos, was quoted as saying that the upcoming batch of episodes were definitely the last ones. Sci Fi issued a statement denying such a decision had been made.

I just found out that they are going to air 10 mini-sodes of Farscape sometime soon....

I didn't watch this show except the first couple of episodes ... I couldn't get into it...

The Farscape minisodes were an unexpected announcement. The 10-episode run has no plot or cast attached yet, but some are saying if the series is well received it could lead to an on air resurrection of the fan favorite.

Ifmagazine.com's Sean Elliott posted an interview with SciFi Channel's Executive Vice President Dave Howe. “We don't know. Literally, we closed the deal yesterday, so we haven't gotten into any of the creative conversations about casting, or story; all of that is yet to come. It is based on Farscape so it will involve the characters from the series, but we don't know who or what.”

Whether or not the Farscape minisodes lead to a full on revival or not, fans of the original series will no doubt be bursting with excitement over this freshly inked deal over the next couple of the days.
