Hello to all!

I’m planning on petitioning my fiancée soon. She was married but her marriage had been annulled. I have questions as follows:

1)    Is she required to change her name (from married name maiden name) prior to filling I-129F?

2)    My fiancée currently has a passport bearing her married name. Does she need to apply for a new passport bearing her maiden name?

3)     My passport worked in the middle east and she obtained police report from that country bearing her married name. Will it cause any issue at all if she will change her name to her maiden name and apply for a new passport?

4)    We both travelled together and we would like to use our travel together as proof of evidence for meeting in the last two years but all her boarding passes, etc. have her marriage name on it. Will it cause any issue at all if she will change her name to her maiden name and apply for a new passport?

Thank you so much for your attention and your advice/input based on the same experience will be very much appreciated.

if she uses her married name she should show her marriage certificate to show when her name changed from her birth certificate. She can show the annulment papers too. It seems like a lot of work to change everything especially if she is planning on taking your name and changing it again.

A lot of divorced/annulled women keep the married name especially if children are involved.

Thanks!

Yes it is. It seems like there will be lots of implications if she changes her name to her maiden name prior to filing I-129F.
