Hello everyone,

 

My husband's visa has finally been issued after almost 2 months of AP :dance:

It was issued on 4/25. How long does it usually take for the waybill to arrive? Also, I've been reading that sometimes the waybill doesn't show up until days later after the visa has been issued. The visa is being sent to Mexico City.

I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself, but I'm ready to have him home :yes:

Have you heard anything? Ours switched to issued right after the interview on Thursday, has not left issued, and was updated again on Friday 4/28. Still no waybill number. I have to be back at work on the 13th and of course Monday and Friday of this week are holidays, so I'm getting really impatient.

Hello! So it was issued 4/25, waybill 4/27, visa at DHL 4/28, and he crossed over yesterday 5/1. Have you heard anything yet? I think 2 business days was also how long it took another friend of mine. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday you will hear something :)

Still nothing :/ I checked it at least 15 times today. It's driving me crazy. The DHL location is an 1+ hour from her house.. if we don't have a waybill by Thursday we're just going to trek up there and hope for the best.

Try calling them. I also read on other sites that people got fed up and went to DHL and the package had been waiting for someone to pick up. Others say their waybill showed up weeks after they had picked it up. I would call to make sure it hasnt already arrived. Where are you sending it to?

Also, if you have the number for the consulate or are still in Juarez, I would try and call and talk to someone. I never could find a working number for the consulate though.

We called the 703 number, they were useless. Are you kidding me? How can DHL in any location not have a location. And whats even worse is that they wouldn't give you the number!

Were you able to get the visa? And yes, if you're not waiting are you even going through the immigration process lol I'm praying you have your visa now and if not, that early next week you guys will get it :)

Are you kidding me? How can DHL in any location not have a location. And whats even worse is that they wouldn't give you the number!

Were you able to get the visa? And yes, if you're not waiting are you even going through the immigration process lol I'm praying you have your visa now and if not, that early next week you guys will get it :)

We got the waybill Wednesday at 12pm, had the visa in hand thursday at 2pm, crossed at 3:30. DHL really is quick. Luckily the waybill populated though, because the location needed it plus her IFE to pick it up. I'm just glad this entire thing is over ... for now ;)

Yes, its over for now lol. Is her visa a CR-1 or IR-1?

We're CR-1 and even though my husband was just approved, I'm excited to apply for ROC within the country.

CR-1. I'm just glad she doesn't have to leave or go back to Juarez for ROC. Already starting to collect proof, I feel like the next two years are going to fly by.

Same! As soon as I knew we were just waiting for NVC to assign in interview, I started collecting evidence. I'm sure the two years will fly by as well!
