Keeping passport good or bad?

We were initially denied after our first interview in Cairo, then that was overturned.  After our second interview, the CO asked my husband for our co sponsors and my updated income information as well as latest tax returns, which we submitted almost a month ago.   He did not keep my husband's passport.....is that a good sign?  Bad sign??  We are in AP and I'm concerned about him not keeping the passport....It would seem if they were going to deny us, they would not have asked for more evidence...Out Co sponsor is very, very strong, making well over $100,000.  per year, claiming only herself on her returns.  Anyone have any thoughts on this???   Thanking you in advance for your response!!  Good luck to all!

Hard to say... Getitng a second interview was a good step. Turning in the requested documents naturally is good. AP is just the standard result after that while they review the information and all.... not keeping the passport, seems to me then they still aren't sure..

They still may ask for it naturally if their review results in an approval... how long that could take is hard to say.

Taking the passport is a good sign that they intend to approve (but doesn't mean they absolutely will do so). Not taking the passport isn't a bad sign either, but does imply they have more to do on the case before making a decision.

Good luck.
