what country are you applying from, what type of visa, and what was the nature of the AP?

My fiancé is from Iraq and its a k1 visa , in interview he had all documents completed but the CO told him he forgot to put a US contact info so she gave him a 221g . But she took his passport .  He took care of that and since then we are going through this long AP :(  In doing research  all  T countries will have to go through AP which includes Iraq.

you shouldn't forget that visa issuance for nationals of Iraq was suspended for while, then resumed, this will cause additional delay since AP and visa issuance is resumed after being suspended causing consulates to work on everything again and it causes backlog (my own opinion) so be patient, as long as he has a clean record and never got involved in any terroristic activities then you should be okay, Goodluck.

She hands me 221g paper because i miss the income tax papers ,  I submitted the papers after 2 days and still waiting 😞Look when i check my visa status on ceac under non immigrant catogery it always tell ' no status' !

Check it under immigrant...they treat the K-1 as an immigrant visa (although it's technically a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent).
