I received my Greencard in the mail last week. I am very excited. Currently i have my EAD card, Drivers license, social security and greencard. 

 

My drivers license going to expired this december (in 8 months).

My social security card still have note "only allowed to work with DHS permition"

 

My question :

Do i need to get another social security card? 

Do i need to renew my drivers license now? Or can i wait till december? 

 

Im in baton rouge, louisiana. Anyone from here? Feel free to contact me! ^^

 You don't need the EAD any more - the green card is sufficient.

Now that you have your green card, you can go back to the SSA and get an unrestricted card. It's not necessarily required, but will avoid potential confusion with future employers and other agencies.

You don't have to do that right now - no problem to wait until closer the time. You can renew up to 180 days early in LA, but you'll almost certainly need to do it in person at the local OMV and show them your green card. And as you're now a permanent resident, you should be able to get a regular license with 6 year expiry.

Congrats! This must be the lucky month for Indonesians! My husband just got his approval and card production notice last week and we are hoping his GC comes soon. =)
