(1) Yes it does, all interview cases are being transferred to the Local offices and have their processing times... so the amount of time it takes for the AOS to be completed is totally dependent on where you are located. I wish i knew this before we started this journey I would have dragged my husband to one of the fastest cities where you get you GC within 4 months :D I'm in texas and I haven't waited for half of the time yet, about 7-8 months to go.:bonk:

2) Yes the other May 2017 thread is for AOS from K-1 visa, but it doesn't matter we can always share ideas and experiences irrespective of what type of visa we are adjusting from, it just makes it easier to collect information by having different threads.

I'm sure it's somehow related to the office but we got our interview scheduled and if you go to San Bernardino's processing time it says they are reviewing cases from December 2016. Our PD is May 11th. I think there's hope for everyone!

Trump rolls out ‘extreme vetting’ for some green cards: report

"The new policy will take effect on Oct. 1, according to agency officials, and will likely lengthen the application process for green cards."

I would think, at the very least, it will make the local field offices even more overburdened for those of us still waiting for our interviews to be scheduled. I highly doubt they will hire additional case officers to deal with the higher volume of interviews...

Great. Thanks, Trump for yet another horrible immigration policy. It's scary that our futures potentially hang in the balance with all of the changes happening with immigration laws. Green card, please come quick! Good luck to anyone waiting for their interview.

Yes, I know. But since the interviews all take place at the field offices, if there are more interviews being conducted with the same number of case officers, it makes it more likely that you will have to wait even longer for your interview to be scheduled.
