Good news everyone, so i was having a late lunch with my husband and playing on ny phone at the same time, when i got a text from that my ead case has been updated. When i checked online, i got this message! So happy!! I can finally start looking for a job. FYI, i did my SR last Aug. 4th and got a reply on the 16th. 9 days later my case was approved!

I hope everyone else get good news this coming days. This process really requires great amount of patience.

Awesome!  Congrats!

We received my wife's EAD/AP combo card in the mail today!

It took about a week or slightly more for everything to go from New Card in Production to Card Mailed and then receiving it, altogether.  It shouldn't be long now before you have it!

Our AP case status never got updated from Case Received, but we got a letter about it in the mail and the EAD card today reads at the bottom: "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole"

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Thank you. Congrats to your wife as well. Now we only need to wait for the aos which i believe would take some time. Wasn't really expecting that one anytime soon. It was still on "ready to be scheduled for interview" since june 21st.

Did you ever receive a case status updated that read:

"On MM DD, 2017, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx, to the address you gave us."

Did they ever give you a tracking number or a case status update after that? Our case status was updated on August 23rd. Do you know when the card itself might arrive?

I have two questions:

(1) Does the interview update depend mostly on the local field office? I see that a number of people are getting interviews scheduled and I am wondering if this is almost entirely dependent on the field office that they are assigned. We have the St. Paul field office which is universally considered the slowest, so I am worried we won't get an interview scheduled for a long time.

(2) Are people aware that there is another May 2017 AOS thread in this forum? Is there a way to search specific threads easily?

I am aware of second thread! But it takes time to open one of them you need more at the moment. Sometimes it's just impossible.

(1) Yes it does, all interview cases are being transferred to the Local offices and have their processing times... so the amount of time it takes for the AOS to be completed is totally dependent on where you are located. I wish i knew this before we started this journey I would have dragged my husband to one of the fastest cities where you get you GC within 4 months :D I'm in texas and I haven't waited for half of the time yet, about 7-8 months to go.:bonk:

2) Yes the other May 2017 thread is for AOS from K-1 visa, but it doesn't matter we can always share ideas and experiences irrespective of what type of visa we are adjusting from, it just makes it easier to collect information by having different threads.

No tracking, and your card will arrive in 2 days from that update. Max 3 days. If you didn't receive it by 3 days call them and ask for tracking

Yeah it came with the mailed NOA for AP (and our online case status updated for EAD properly, just never for AP) - separate letters were mailed at the same time, to be exact.

Thank you!  Good luck and God bless to you and everyone else too!
