Apply right away. I applied for mine the next day morning and by night I already had a SSN generated for me. Went the next day to get the number and card arrived 6 days later.

I will tomorrow, thank you!

I just realized, I should have clarified:  The 10 day wait recommendation is from the date on your card, not from the day you recieve the card.  In my case, I got the card 5 days after it was approved, so I waited another 5 before going in.  It's totally possible you're already in the system.  Hopefully you are!  If you're not, you could always cancel your application and go back in a few days instead of waiting for the (sometimes weeks long) process of them to manually verify.

My combo card has valid date August 15, hopefully I'm in system

Last night - we received text and email confirmation that our case was updated and EAD / AP has been mailed, although AP case status never actually changed from case received, all I ever got about that was the approval NOA that came in the mail along with approval NOAs for EAD

It's been 113 days since my pd on May 2nd...the wait  is so frustrating...did concurrent filing of i130, i765, i131,and i485.  Raised 2 sr...received routine response.

Hopefully you get a response soon. Did you raise the SR online or through the phone?

Greetings

After 106 days  and 2 SR  I today have called USCIS enquiring about my EAD  on my second call I was lucky to have the representer to listen and placed an expedited SR based on a severe financial loss to an indvidual  that there is one person working and we r  burning our savings ...

My question is what documents I can provide to show my financial loss..

P.S

Congratulatiobs to all EAD/AP and Interviewnotice recepients..hood luck to us all

Job offer, pregnant wife, and/or wife losing a job and cut the source of income.

Unless you had a job offer, or emergency situation, you shouldn't have requested to expedite because you won't be able to send supporting docs.

I filled on the 4th of May and i am still waiting on EAD/AP. I am being processed by NBC.

you are still within normal processing time, remember if you applied for AP it's going to take longer!

May 4 is not within normal processing time despite AP, just like I did - they are allowed to put in a case inquiry for case being outside of normal processing time anytime after 75 days of no action.  Mine went in on May 3, I put in an inquiry on July 19, heard back 3 week later that it was being worked on (via mail), then new card got produced and mailed to us for both recently.  If AP causes it to take longer (AP is also supposed to take 90 days as far as I have read), they can still act on their EAD case as anyone else would.
